Value Resorts and Inside Staterooms? Bah Humbug! 30 days of Disney fun! 02/10 Day 30

That sounds divine :cloud9: I had already picked out the famous mousse dessert to try, but this might give it a run for its money

Best to talk Dave to get one and you get the other and share! ;) So you won't miss out on anything!

That is kinda the plan actually, as we are on the DxDP we figured we should try to get different dishes so we can share/try a bit of each others.

But I think he has already decided on the creme brulee for LC

Day 24
Monday, September 6

It looks like we will skip breakfast and sleep in a little, since we wanted to stay until 1am for EMH at the MK.

DSC_0532.jpg

We will meet Mary Ellen and Joe at Downtown Disney,

s08_20.jpg

maybe hit a few stores before we walk over to the Westside for our lunch at Wolfgang Puck’s Café.

Last year we had dinner there and even though the food was really nice we felt really rushed, so we cannot wait to see how this works out at lunchtime.

Since we are already at DTD we will fit in a ride in the balloon if the weather permits.

After the balloon ride we will do a bit of shopping at Downtown Disney and a bit of offsite shopping. When we are done spending money we will go back to our villa for a quick rest before we head over to Disney Hollywood Studios for our dinner at the Sci-Fi Dine In.

After dinner we will either stay for Evening Extra Magic Hours until 10pm, depending on how many people are there.

If there are too many guests we'll leave at around 8pm and drive to the MK to watch another run of the MSEP and Wishes.

He could get Creme Brulee somewhere else .......... :rolleyes1

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Love your Day 24 plans. :thumbsup2 I really want to ride the balloon but I am afraid, seriously afraid. I try and find the courage but I get so dang scared to do it! :lmao:

It's not as bad as it looks! ;) :lmao:
We went on the balloon in DLRP first and once it moved I wanted to get off there and then :rotfl2:, but after about 5 seconds I was good - holding on with both hands, and once you have a certain height there is so much to take in, you completely forget that you are that high up.
The balloon in DTD didn't seem to take as long as the one in Paris either. They go up, point out the different park icons, hold for about 2 minutes and go down!
But it is worth it for the view - maybe one day ......... I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

Looking at your pictures from the balloon are awesome and I started to think about how much fun it would be to do that but then I imagined myself up there and I couldn't do it haha looking over the edge would do me in:lmao:

I....really need to stop reading this thread when I'm hungry....My stomache is now grumbling in anger!

What is that heavenly looking burger at Sci-fi? Are those slices of provolone?

Your plans for day 24 look great, as usual. Making me think of all the things I can't wait to do when I'm back. And I am determined to make evening EMHs at MK while we're there, even if I do it solo! :scared1:

day 24 (!!!) looks fantastic!!!

Someday we are going to have to make it to Le Cellier. Casey and I both got to pick 2 restaurants this trip, and I almost picked that but decided to go with the wave instead. Next trip hopefully... :rotfl:

I also want to try the balloon ride in DTD soon, it looks amazing (and very high up )

EMH at MK are the best!!! We stayed until about 1:30 last time and it was very cool-- we got to go on a ton of rides with no wait, including BTMRR 8times!!! Can't wait to stay until 3 AM very soon!!!

Karin, I have a question about online check-in, can it get you into your room faster than if you check in when you get there? Our first night we have 6:30 reservations at Wolfgang pucks, and they told us our room might not be ready until after 4, so we're worried about making or res on time. Can online check-in help?

You have definitely peaked my interest in the DTD balloon! I'll see if the weather accomodates a ride when I'm there.

And you are getting CLOSE to your departure date!!!

He could get Creme Brulee somewhere else .......... :rolleyes1

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

That's one thing I can't tell/get him to do, apparently  But we shall see, oh and I just wonder where you could be suggesting for us to get an alternative creame brulee from

Love your Day 24 plans. :thumbsup2 I really want to ride the balloon but I am afraid, seriously afraid. I try and find the courage but I get so dang scared to do it! :lmao:

Like Karin say's it really not that bad as its mostly a very slow and steady ride that you don't really and the end result would be gorgeous amazing panoramic views of WDW :goodvibes

Karin, how much is the balloon, your pictures have made me want to do this too now :teeth:

Today is

day!!!

:yay: for the Single Digit Dance

Day 24 is looking good, loving the balloon ride pics :thumbsup2

Are you afraid of heights?
If I were you I would just try it. It's not really as bad as it looks. The "basket" is made of metal and there is kind of a net all around it, so you can hold on and have something to make you feel "secure". :goodvibes
The view is worth the butterflies in your tummy!

ohhh all that food looks sooooo good :cloud9:

all that time with disney food is going to be amazing! :goodvibes

Disney food ............ :thumbsup2 :cloud9:

I....really need to stop reading this thread when I'm hungry....My stomache is now grumbling in anger!

Yuki, you should know me by now! There are always SOME photos of food in my reviews! :rotfl2:
As for the burger - that was the regular cheeseburger they served! The photo is a few years old, sorry - and I can't remember what kind of cheese it was.

Your plans for day 24 look great, as usual. Making me think of all the things I can't wait to do when I'm back. And I am determined to make evening EMHs at MK while we're there, even if I do it solo! :scared1:

Thanks for the :thumbsup2 for our Day 24.
It will be a totally new experience for you, having Max with you and seeing it with HIS eyes.
And you can always spend MK EMHs with us, while your DH and Max are having their beautysleep! ;)

Thanks for your :thumbsup2 for Day 24!

You need to go to LeCellier once. It IS an experience, and the food was always very good!
But I am totally okay with choosing The Wave!

Can you say ........... yummyyyyyyyyyyyyy desserts! ;)

EMHs until 3am are the best, esp. at the MK! Best time to visit .... EVER!!!!

As for your question - I do NOT have a definite answer, but ..... every time we did the online check in our room was ready about noon! One of the questions they ask is, WHEN are you checking in the earliest.
I think 4pm is the latest your room could be ready, but we NEVER had to wait that long!
Sorry I couldn't help more.
On the other hand ..... even if you check in at 4pm you should easily make it to WP on time! :thumbsup2

You have definitely peaked my interest in the DTD balloon! I'll see if the weather accomodates a ride when I'm there.

And you are getting CLOSE to your departure date!!!

The balloon is great fun and the view is unbelievable!! :thumbsup2

I love your plans! I envy you so much!

Thank you!

Really ......... you envy me a 10 hour plane ride in economy class and a 6 hour time change? Hmmmmmmmm ;)

That's one thing I can't tell/get him to do, apparently  But we shall see, oh and I just wonder where you could be suggesting for us to get an alternative creame brulee from

Hmmmmm, good creme brulee, VERY hard question!!!

IMG_4596.JPG

How does THIS one look? It's from ...........

Wolfgang Puck's Express! :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I am not quite sure, but the balloon was about 16$ I think. It's not really cheap for a few minutes, but so worth it for the view!

Thanks for sharing our single digit day excitement with us - Tom made that gif for us ..... I really like it!

Day 25
Tuesday, September 7

This was going to be our one and only Universal Day this trip. Now, with hearing about the crowds at UO we decided to give it a miss, BUT keep the plans to go offsite shopping.

We are planning on making an early start and spend one of our Table Service Credits at the Maya Grill for breakfast.

DSC_0127.JPG

If everything works out well we will head to the former “Beltz” Mall to have a look at the outlet Disney Store and have a look around.

IMG_4280.JPG

Next stop will be Universal City Walk to have lunch at Bubba Gump’s.

IMG_4283.JPG

Those of you who have read my former dining reviews know that we love the place and our vacation would not be complete without one meal there. So, watch out Coconut Shrimp – I am on my way!

IMG_4282.JPG

IMG_4284.JPG

IMG_4285.JPG

I guess we will skip dessert at Bubba Gump’s and after having a look around the Fossil Shop (Tom’s) and the Fresh Produce shop (mine, for Vera Bradley stuff) we will have some dessert from Cinnabon, which is right next door.

Depending on how late it is by then we might even hit WalMart to stock up on school things before we head back to Old Key West.

IMG_4478.jpg

And here is another change in plans …. We actually had planned to have dinner at Narcoossee’s, but our experience last time wasn’t so good, so last week we all decided why not try something else?
So where are we going to have dinner. Well, we got an “invitation” from her!!!

dlcind.jpg

Yes, we will have dinner IN the castle.

IMG_4244.JPG

The park is open until 9pm, so after dinner we will have to leave the park and maybe head over to Downtown Disney and maybe have some ice cream at Ghirardelli’s

IMG_5740.jpg

before heading back to our villa.

I really want to try the balloon ride, but it wasn't running the last time I was in Downtown Disney due to wind. Maybe this next trip...
