What is your(or in general) the best value meals at the WDW resort?
Parks and hotels.
Not just cheaper eats, but quality for that money.

Boatwrights at POR is a low priced TS with good food. If you are on a budget all the resort QS joints have some unique items per theme. You could resort hop your meals.

I like food offered at the Mara at AKL. We had the pepperoni and vegetable flatbread as well as the chicken nuggets with fries. they were all good. The fried fish basket offered at Typhoon Tilly's in Typhoon Lagoon was good too. Food at the Tusker House was great for a character meal. If you are a big meat lover, Ohana dinner is a great option.

Chicken and ribs combo and Cosmic Rays. Comes with green beans and mashed potatoes. My hubby and I split it and we were both full.

I'm vegetarian - here are my favorite value meals, priced around $6-7:

MK:
A side of rice and a side of beans at Pecos Bill. Put them on a plate and add toppings from the side bar.

A side of broccoli and a side of couscous at Columbia Harbor House.

A side of mashed potatoes and a side of green beans at Cosmic Rays.

The nutella and fresh fruit waffle at Sleepy Hollow

AK:
Edamame from the Caravan cart in Asia with a side of fresh fruit (e.g. watermelon, strawberries, or pineapple) from the Harambe Fruit Market. For a heartier appetite, swap one of these for falafel or samosa from Mr. Kamal's cart in Asia.

EP:
World Showcase has tons of options! Tangierine cafe and La Cantina de San Angel are my favorites, although they are about double in price (~$12) which is still a value relative to the amount of food (two can easily share a vegetarian platter from Tangierine - La Cantina, maybe, maybe not depending on appetites).

HS:
Blech! The only thing I like there is HBD, but it's pricey (and not IMO not worth it for the vegetarian options). If I can't make it over to EP to eat and don't want to spend $$$ then I have a smaller version of the Cobb salad (~$9) at the outdoor HBD lounge.

For buffets, I think Tusker House or Boma offer the best value in terms of quality and selection (relative to other buffets on property).

This is a great thread! Some places have really great kids' meals. The food court at POR is the main one coming to my mind right now, but I'm sure there are others.

Do they still have white rice there? And do they list a side of rice as an option? They took the rice bowls off the menu, and the online menu doesn't show any side orders.

Does that mean they'll charge less just for omitting the meat? Good to know. I wish they'd reduce the price of breakfast items for omitting the standard meats.

Hmmm, best/favorite QS eateries?
In our opinion . . .

Parks:
. . . EP:...Sunshine Seasons (FW)
. . . EP:...Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe Entrée Menu (WS)
. . . MK:...Columbia Harbour House
. . . AK:...Flame Tree (good ribs)
. . . HS:...Backlot Epress
. . . BB:...Lottawatta Lodge
. . . TL:...Typhoon Tilly's
. . . DS:...Wolfgang Puck Express

Resorts:
. . . DEL:...Capt Cook's at Poly
. . . MOD:..Sassagoula Flatworks at POFQ
. . . VAL:....Landscapes of Flavor at AoA
. . . DVC:...Artist Pallette at SSR

Tangeriene Cafe in Morocco in Epcot. Huge servings.
Fried Rice at Yak and Yeti. It's considered a snack but is a huge portion.
Mac and Cheese at Chef de France, huge portion easily shared. Also French Onion Soup there, huge portion add a small side salad and you are full.
Pecos Bills in MK has decent Tex Mex and a toppings bar so you can buy nachos or a burrito and fill it up so it can easily be split by two.

Yes they have white rice, although it is seasoned so the color isn't white. The sides are not listed on the menu, but if you ask, they can key them as sides at the register. I don't know about charging less for omitting meat, but I suspect not. One day I wanted veggie nachos as a snack. Instead of ordering them without meat, I ordered a side of chips and then added toppings from the bar - I did this to save $ since the side chips were around $4-5 (I can't recall exact price-- also not listed on the menu).
