Valuables with the Bell hop?

We are staying at RPR and need to leave our things with the bell hop to hit the park before our room is ready. We will be traveling with lap tops, purses, etc. My questions is how safe is it to leave these things with bell hop? Should we leave some items in our car? We are staying for over a week and leaving the lap top at home is not an option.

Ive never had in problems with leaving lap tops in the room with cleaners. I have not left it with the bell hop before but I would assume they hire just as respectable employees. However, the parking lots are just outside the hotel so if you would worry about it too much it might be best to leave it in the car.

I'm sure someone else on here has better experience than I have though.

leave in the car or with valet for storage.


i always store everything with valet.
nothing has ever been stolen.

you are given a claim check which you need to retrieve your belongings.
if you lose the claim check, you still can get your stuff but it is a hassle beyond belief.

that is how tight the procedures are there at the hotels.

your belongings that are checked will be put in its own cubbie hole spot.

very safe.

We always leave the stuff in the car and go checkin. If the room is ready we go back to the car and have bellhop bring them to our room. If the room is not ready we go to the parks and then return when it's ready. Then get the car to have bellhop bring it to our room.

Since we don't bring a car, we always leave stuff with the bell hop. We have never had an issue in our 20 some visits.

We left our things while going to the parks. They left it across from the counter while we checked in for us to get anything out that we needed before putting it behind in the storage area. We had lots of bags, including 3 laptops in very obvious laptop bags. No issues at all

thanks for putting my mind at ease. I think we are going to leave with bell hop due to hot car and I believe that is the safer way to go.
