Valet Parking ...

Always had this question ... if you use valet parking, is your rental insurance (either through the complimentary coverage when purchased with your credit card, or through the car rental agency) still in effect ... i.e. does it cover valet parking? Thanks.

You need to contact your insurance company or CC because they are all different. The LDW from car rental should cover everything. I've never worried about valet parking with a rental car.

If something happens while you're parked with them, they'll be covering it.

Had a valet DESTROY my stickshift in New Orleans (they somehow literally ripped the actual shifter up out of its seating...I think they'd never dealt with a VW before where you have to push it down to get it into reverse?) and THEY paid for that...


This isn't something I worry about.

Glad I saw this, never ever thought about it. would assume valet would cover it.
