Valet parking/Tipping

We are staying at the Hilton in Down Town Disney over Easter.
We have been advised that the car park there soon gets full to capacity and we may be best using Valet Parking. Valet parking costs $10 per day. How much is it advisable to tip the attendants, Do you tip when you leave the car and when you pick it up?
This could amount to quite a lot if you acessed your car several times per day,
Any ideas anyone? I have done a search but most deal with on site hotels, or DVC where valet parking is free.

Hi,
Although Valet parking is free for DVC members I still tip when I use it.The choice is yours who you tip and how much but I just handed over the keys on arrival (no tip)and gave the guy $2 when he brought the car back and they all seemed happy with this.You could check on the US boards to see if anyone knows of a different system at the Hilton.

I might use the valet on arrival and departure because of the luggage, but it gets costly at $10 a day plus tips. I've been in and out of the Hilton fairly regularly and I've found parking without too much trouble although it might be a couple of minutes walk from the entrance. If I use valet, I generally stick to a couple of bucks a time. I think $10 is a bit pricey if the Hotel doesn't have adiquate parking, JMHO.
