Valet Parking Question

If we are staying at VWL, can we use the valet parking at BWV for free (plus tip of course) or is it supposed to be only for the resort you are actually staying at? We want to visit the BW during our stay.

The free valet parking at DVC resorts is available to all DVC members.

You get free valet parking anytime, even if you are not staying on points or even staying at WDW.

I am guessing the answer is no and thats fine, I just want to have correct info to give my family.

If you use points to book a stay, and they are staying with you, their room card will say "DVC member" and they will be able to valet park for free.

Actually, the answer is yes. Their Resort ID/Room Key will say "DVC Member". That's all they will need to take advantage of most DVC discounts/perks, including the complimentary valet parking at BWV, BCV & VWL.

we are dvc members and this last trip we paid cash at the wl and we used the valet parking and even showed our dvc card, but at the end of the stay it was on our bill. i asked why the cm told me because you only get free valet parking when staying on points, boy i sure complain especially when i was charged twice from calif. grill for dinner on the same day(waiter forgot to add his tip in the first amount, so, charged us again to add his tip,what an inconv. for me) the cm said to show a receipt and then she will take it off, i should have told her to show me two receipts with my singature on it , sorry to get off the subject, anyways to make along story short, i did get a refund on all over charged dinner and valet parking, but was told valet parking is only free if your staying on points. we did visit bw and beach club and was never charged for valet parking there. you can use any dvc resorts valet parking no matter where your staying on points for free.

Sorry you ran into a misinformed CM. Guess we'll have to carry a copy of the info from the DVC Members' website on valet parking. Here it is:

Valet Parking at the Walt Disney World® Resort
Disney Vacation Club Members are not charged for valet parking at Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Resort or Disney's Wilderness Lodge, regardless of where they are staying. Disney Vacation Club Members must show their Disney Vacation Club Member card or Walt Disney World Resort ID indicating that they are a "DVC Member" when leaving their vehicle to be parked in order to receive this service at no charge at Disney's Beach Club Resort, Disney's BoardWalk Resort or Disney's Wilderness Lodge.

Members will be charged the daily fee of $6.00 for this service at any other valet parking operation at the Walt Disney World Resort. Once you have paid for the valet service, you will receive unlimited valet parking for the remainder of the day. Whether or not you are charged to valet park, gratuities are still appropriate. There will be no charge for guests with disabilities with the proper permits. This charge only affects guests and Members who choose to use this service.
