Valet parking no longer free for DVC members.

I checked this morning. Still no charges. We did check in last Friday, so maybe we "beat" the charge.

Member Satisfaction informed me if you arrived before Sunday there should be no charge.

What bad timing. We just bought into BLT and our check cleared Monday. So basically we lost a perk before we were officially members. Augh! Just let me thank Jim Lewis and all those talking heads in charge of DVC for diminishing the value of our purchase before we can even enjoy it. Yes, I understand that this is a perk and not written into our contract. But if you take away things that make DVC special doesn't this turn into a normal time share? What is the next free perk that they will take away? Hopefully, Disney will add something soon to offset this bad news.

Sorry just venting a little...I'm still 7 Months from my next Disney vacation and it already feels just a little bit less magical. Thank goodness, BLT doesn't face the same self-parking issues as BWV.....for now.

Thanks Puck!
Seems like a "canned" response/answer, but at least it's a response.

Definitely a canned response; a laminated copy of this letter was posted at the BW valet stand tonight. FWIW, it is still free for handicap and tables in wonderland.

Rick sent an email in to MS and received the canned response as well.

Well, low and behold, today I received a phone call from an actual human at DVC in response to the email. She wanted to "discuss" (placate) the issue and assure me that all of the responses were being documented and forwarded to the higher powers.

Now my question would be- did the emails everyone sent in get their attention or did my response to my guide calling me a couple days ago get their attention?:confused3

My guide called a couple of days ago wanting to "check in on us". Told her thanks but we weren't adding any points and felt like the new banking policies and removal of popular perks without adding any of comparable value were a discouraging development. Enough so that I didn't think I could offer any referrals anymore either. I'm not sure she knew what to say, which is kind of funny since she's normally very on the ball with responses. Needless to say we finished the call with me telling her that if we wanted to add on points I'd probably do it through resale where I thought the point cost was more in line with the value I perceive in DVC. For some reason Disney timeshares have flooded the resale market....;)

Just wondered if anyone else has gotten these phone calls?

I received a couple of calls from MS, but they left a message and I didn't call back.

Anybody moving closer to that tipping point?

I'm not DVC but this still ticks me off. They are just so clueless.

I sure am. Considering selling off my DVC. It just seems like it is not the same as what I bought. And that wasn't that long ago.
