Valentine's Trip

My DGF and I are thinking about a taking a trip after the new year and we have only ever been down in October. Originally we were going to go the second week of January but yesterday I thought about waiting a few weeks and go for Valentine's day .

I know it still can get pretty warm and humid in October (its almost like a Jersey summer some days). And DGF does not like hot and humid. What can we expect for weather the third week of February? How are crowds that week as well?

We were at POP in October 04 and crowds were heavier then normal. I guess it was because of all the hurricanes. Hopefully no one has to go through that this year.

Hi,

You are fortunate that President's Day week in 2006 is the weekend following Valentine's Day. Crowds will be heavy President's Day week, especially over the three day weekend. Other than that, Feb crowds are pretty light.

As for the weather, there is no way to tell. You could have days in the 80s with cool nights, or you could have mornings near freezing with daytime highs around 50. And both of those things could happen during the same week!

We were there Valentines 2000. We were told that it was unusually warm then (mid 80's in the day), not at all humid, but very chilly once the sun went down (I wore a midweight jacket more than once!)
As for decorations, sorry nothing special at all.
