Okay wishers we have two weeks to get in gear including me! I did'nt make my lowely 1.5 lbs and this week i'm FURTHER away needing 2.5 to make my goal. That's the bad news the good new i'm still in the 30's so i'm happy about that. I've been major stress eating this week and i have to cut it out. I'm all set and ready to head out for a great weekend and week next week. I hope you all have made a stride in the RIGHT direction. Lets hear how your week went?
 
Hey Tammy - you are doing FINE! No matter what, you are gonna look HOT, HOT, HOT this Valentines Day!;) Stick to your plan and you WILL make goal. Go girl, go!

I am making progress. I am at 6/10 for VD. I thought that this would be a reasonable goal, since I am just starting out with this weight loss thing (this time anyhow :rolleyes: ) I still feel positive that I will make it, but I will have to work hard at it, not just cruise to it. I am trying to step up my exercise, cause that will help. Just finished 20 minutes on the evil stepper. (see my journal for details of "the stepper"!:crazy: ) That is really HUGE for me!

So it is onward and downward to VD! (P.S. DH just invited me to dinner for VD.:lovestruc )
 
I am still inching along. This week's loss was .75 pound. Making my total for the goal 4/5. Unfortunately TOM & the Bloat Fairy are visiting so things aren't looking good for this week either. Hopefully I will be able to lose that last pound between now and the 14th so I can make goal.

Tammy, 2.5 is still very do-able! :wizard: for the end of stress eating and a great week!

Sharon: A date for Valentine's Day!! How nice!! I'm sure with all the hard work you are putting in on the "evil stepper" you will have no problem getting to goal!

And :wizard: for a good week for everyone else, too!! (Oh, and would anyone like to take the BF off my hands for a little visit at their house??.......... No takers??..................Pleeeeeeeeeeease?)

I lost another 2 this week! So I am 8/10. Yay!

I finally kicked it into gear this week, and made 4 pounds disappear, which puts me at 8/15 for the challenge. I'm still not sure I'm going to make it, because 7 pounds over 2.5 weeks is a bit optimistic - but not impossible. We'll see!

Keep it up - you can do it!

How does everyone feel about a Spring (3/20/04) challenge? There's already the ONEderland by Spring thread, but how about a challenge for those of us either under or too far over 199? :p Or maybe an April Fool's challenge, since Spring is only 5 weeks after Valentine's. I just love these challenges and find them so motivating, so I want to make sure there's always one going!

We can call it the "No Foolin' Around" challenge. :teeth:

April Fool's Day sounds perfect, because it's 6.5 weeks after Valentine's, which is just about the right length. I'll try to start it up on Feb. 16th, right after Valentine's - unless someone else starts it first. :p As long as there's a challenge going on, I'm happy!

Yeah, I'm kinda shooting for ONEderland by Memorial Day, I guess. Spring is definitely out of the question, that's for sure. Then again, it's been 7 years since I last visited ONEderland, so sometime this summer will be soon enough. ::yes::
 
Man what would i do without you guys. I really appreciate all the support you all give to me. I've been having a rough few weeks and this challenge has helped me stay on task. It seems those last couple pounds i can kick them. I will though. I want so badly to get on down for my wedding. I started toning my arms which look decent already but i want them nice and tone for my big day my dress is alittle NON tradiational. I will share all the wedding details later in another thread. Maybe when my dress comes i'll post a pic of me in it. I can't wait unfortunely i was late placing my order and it's a rush to get it in time for April.
 
I'm still holding at 8/15. I think that's what I was last week, too. I've had a really bad past 8 days. It was my daughter's BD a week ago yesterday, 1/23 (that was a good thing, but I had cake/ice cream 2 days in a row - big no no on Atkins). Then, the same day, my 2 youngest DC came down with a nasty virus. They missed the entire week of school this past week. And my oldest (who had the birthday) came down with a nasty cold on Wednesday. I've had no chance to prepare meals and have been existing on cold cuts, cheese & eggs. My DH had his long shift this week and worked 12 hour days, so he couldn't help me out at all. You'd think I would have lost weight, but the scale didn't budge all week.

Tomorrow is Super Bowl and I've already planned to go "off plan". Not really badly, but definately over the 25 carbs I should be having for the day. I think my goal of 15 pounds by 2/14 is slipping away. I'm staying on track today and will be back at it with a vengeance on Monday. I have been faithful about working out, tho. It's not helping on the scale. I keep telling myself I'm building muscle.

I have been avoiding this thread like the plague, but I guess it is time to fess up. For some reason I have been starving this week and I have been indulging that hunger. Unfortuneately the scale went up because of my eating, I am up 1.6 pounds this week (I hoped if I delayed posting a couple of days I would lose it again, but no go). So I am now at 5.6/9.8 (10), since I orginally said I was taking this challenge until the 18th I only have 18 more days to lose 4.4 pounds. With the hunger I have been feeling lately I don't know if I will make it, but I am pushing forward and going to see what happens.

Congrats to all our losers and maintainers.

As of Wed. I have lost another 3lbs, which puts me at 8/15. I have basically 2.5 weeks to get rid of another 7lbs!! :eek: I know that it is doable, so I am going to be positive and say that I know that I can do this!! :teeth:
 
I'm down 1.8 this week which makes me 6.6/10 :teeth: So 3.4 to go! I hope I can make it!!! :hyper:
 
I stayed the same this week so I'm still 3/8. I think this is due tothe increase in my exercising. I got on the treadmill for 30-60min. 5 times this past week and when I start exercising harder like that my calves tend to swell for some reason for awhile afterwards. They feel better today so I am hoping they are now used to the increased exercise and maybe I'll get a visit from the whoosh fairy this week, please, please, please.

I'm 6/11, I'll work my hardest to lose 6 pounds in two weeks, but it has taken me 45 days to lose 10 pounds, so I don't think I will be able to do it. :(
 
Well, I am getting discouraged. Ever since I was sick at christmas and then again in mid january I have been having a hard time losing. I have been losing and gaining the same two pounds. As for the challenge I am .5/5. I know there have been a couple times that I have gone off plan, but I have also begun to exercise again. I think I need to start writing down what I am eating to see if I can figure out what's going on. It is also a very busy month for me, so it is going to be hard to stay on track. I wonder if my body is still trying to adjust from being sick so much. Does anyone know if your body holds on to fluid or fat after being sick?
I had an eye infection and a virus for 2 1/2 weeks starting christmas eve and then a stomach virus for three days on Jan 15.
It hasn't been the best of winters. I can't wait for Spring.
Anyway, good luck to everyone this week!
 
I hurt my shoulder and have been unable to exercise except for physical therapy- which doesn't amount to much...so the last week's weigh in had me from 177 up to 184!!!! AAAGH!! I knew it was the Vioxx and shoulder junk- so this week I'm back down to 179- I'll be nowhere near my goal for Valentine's but if I can make it to 175 or less I'll be tickled! :) Hoping the orthopedist has a new plan on Thursday for my shoulder- I really hate this chronic pain! UGH! It's been driving me to carb-comfort myself!

WOW!! Look at you guys burning up the scales!! I haven't checked in, because I have been holding steady since we started. I must really be closing in on my body's "normal" weight, because I just can't get the pounds to budge. Mowsie dreamer will be happy to know the bloat fairy is knocking on my door...good for you, bad for me!! :yo-yo: Maybe after TOM is finished I will get a whoosh in time for VD. So, put me down for holding at 1/10 for the challenge.
Anyway, sorry I haven't been around to cheer you guys on, I am really proud of all of you for checking in every week...I have just been lurking...I won't lurk anymore.
