Hey guys and gals! I'm not sure if this should be posted here but it does relate to DLRP sort of lol. I've heard so much about Val D'Europe and I wondered where it actually is and how you get there? Also is it worth visiting one day whilst I'm at DLRP?

I'm always terrified about the metros when I visit DLRP, last time I attempted using them I got badly lost!!! lol. I'm probably also terrified about losing a day in Disney!!!!! lol

Thanks,

AdaM

i know what you mean - i felt the same way too!

however, val d'europe makes for a lovely day out - for a start the lunches are CHEAP and incredibly french and tasty.

it is only one stop away on the metro, and you have very little chance of getting lost as you cannot get on the wrong side - both trains wherever they are headed go through val d'europe.

if you plan on going, but cant bear losing a whole day, we went to dlp in the morning, back to hotel at about 1, then into val d'europe for 3-4 hours which was lots - i cannot spend a whole day at the shops ANYWHERE!

you may find some great buys - i got a gorgous pair of fornorina (?) shoes that should have been about 250 euros for 60 euros - they're like dorothy shoes :D

there are also some more familiar shops in the centre before the discount village (you have to walk through a mall to get to the designer discount place) such as h&m and claire's accesories...

definitely worth the trip, and it really makes you love going back to the park - as i don't know about you guys but after 2 days i am totally au fait about it all....until i come back home and miss it like mad!

Val De Europe is worth it if you want to shop (bought 200 euro Nikes for 65), the Hypermrket is great to stock up at, the Aquarium is quite good if you like aquariums, and the food options are plentiful and much cheaper than Disney's - Italian (ok), Steakhouse - good) Chinese - excellent, Sushi, buffet, fish, Lebanese, Tapas. And there is often live Music as you eat.

If driving, very easy, or 1 stop on the RER.

I find it makes for a great break in the day - go to EMH then leave about 11. Go to Val D'Europe for lunch and the afternoon, maybe dinner, back to the park for the evening.

Is it must see (depends how much you like shopping - for us no, but it's nice). But it makes for a nice break in the day and good food options.

Thank you both for your help!! I think I'll definately do that!! Only one stop? lol you watch me end up in Germany or somewhere!!!! lol

I heard about the Designer stuff but never really knew how much was just talk - but now it sounds like a must-do! I think an afternoon would be plenty for us though..we like looking around the shops but not excessively!! Hmmm..I may book a character dinner on the evening we decide to go there, that way we have MORE Disney when we get back!!! YAY!!!! lol

Thanks again for the help and advice!!!....looks like I may be getting some shoes and trainers while there too! lol:cool1:

It is in La Terrasse (where all the restaurants and aquarium is). It is the rear left side.

We had 6 dishes between the 4 of us (2 adults, 4 YO and 2YO) chinese tea, 2 cokes, and 3 ice creams came to about 60 euro. So for the DLP area, not bad!!!
