Vacations with mandatory timeshare presentation?

Dawn, you rock!! I may not agree with your politics, but I love your attitude. :goodvibes I want to be a fly on the wall at one of these timeshare presentations you attend. :rotfl:

I've never been to a timeshare presentation, but about once a year, we get an offer from a name-brand timeshare (I forget, Hilton maybe??) for a resort in the Florida Keys at a GREAT price. Maybe I'll need to book it and channel you when I attend the presentation!

I actually had one timeshare sales person say to me, (On Maui, at the Kahana Sands, the luau gift actually), "Why did you waste YOUR time coming here if you had no intention of buying"? My answer, "Because I don't make $300 an hour". He was really angry! :lmao:
When ever we go to Hawaii, DH always prefaces the trip with "NO TIME SHARE PRESENTATIONS". If its a really good gift, I can go at a good time and its a convenient location, I manage to rope him in anyway. He feels bad for the sales person. When they put pressure on him, he deflects it to me; "She manages the money". ;)

Many years ago when I was fairly newly married & we were pretty poor, we got an offer for a time share presentaiton at a local shopping center. The "free gift" was a $50 Macys gift card. DH really needed some new shoes & we couldn't afford them, so it was worth it to us to spend a Monday evening listening to their pitch in exchange for a new pair of shoes. :rolleyes1
