We would like to find a 3 bedroom, 2 bath, house in the Splendid China area with a pool and jacuzzi, king bed in the master, multiple TVs and washer and dryer and security system.

My DM says we can find one for $100/day or less. I have yet to find such a house in this price range.

If anyone has stayed in a home like this, would you mind sharing the particulars on it? Price, location, date of your stay, your impressions...?

Please?

Thanks much!!!

in December. We happened to get a 3 bdrm/2 bath condo since we didn't expect the weather to be nice enough to warrant a pool home. We thought the development was lovely, the community pool was great. Easy trip to WDW and near so many offsite restaurants and shopping.

Had full kitchen and W/D, plus 3 TVs, VCR and DVD player. I would not hesitate to stay in this development again. We rented directly from an owner and I believe our cost w/ everything was $711/wk. The owner was so wonderful (that would be you, Wendy, if you're reading) that she even purchased a full sized crib for our youngest and we were the first people to use it. Made our stay so much more comfortable.

I think the per night rate will differ depending on the home's amenities and the time of year you are going.

Good luck.

we stay here regularly. Its very nice, and has everything you ask for, but not jacuzzi...
but it is 4 bed and two and a half baths.. so...

www.askews-villa.co.uk
its not near splendid china.. but its convenient to dw.. and $700 a week!

It's possible, just have to do the searching. I didn't think I would ever find one that would hold our 14 people and allow pets with everything we wanted (ie: pool, jacuzzi, game room 6-7 bedrooms) but we did, it just took lots of searching. Remember too, just because it says it's a certain price, doesn't mean the owners won't take less especially if your nice about it. Just let them know in your email when you inquire how much you can spend. I had several people offer to drop the price. Here's a couple links I found useful, try these. :earsboy: http://www.a1vacations.com/Florida.htm & http://www3.cyberrentals.com/FL/Florida.html & www.vacationhomes.com . I have a couple more sites if you want. Just finished my long search. :rotfl:

I think it depends when you're going as well. I found this one, unfortunately it was booked for the dates we needed. But in summer it was only $600/week. www.schreibervilla.com - I forgot where I found them though!

I was hoping to hear good things about Windor palms! I am talking to a owner right now for a 3 bedroom condo. It's 59/a night! WooHoo. Do you know if there is tax on top of it?

a really hard time finding a 3bdr villa with a jacuzzi..and in that price range:)

I would suggest looking through 4bdr...you'll get all those options you want, plus a few more:), and a jacuzzi:)

Good luck and let us know what you find:)

Thanks for all your replies! I will check out those websites.

Yes, I am finding it difficult to find the house we want in the price range my mom is hoping for.

For me, the jacuzzi is not essential. I just need to keep the costs down so we can actually GO!

My research indicates so far that, if you're willing to go with a townhouse/villa/condo, whatever you want to call it, you can stay within the $100/night price range for a 3 bedroom and stay in a nice neighborhood like Windsor.

If anyone else has suggestions, I'd sure appreciate it!

Thanks much, princess:

Last October we stayed in a fantastic 4 bedroom house in the Splendid China area (very close to Disney!!) The house had a pool, spa, TV's in every bedroom, X-box game system and a whole bunch of other stuff. One of the kid's bedroom's was decorated from the 101 Dalmations which my son loved. We rented from www.floridadisneyhomes.com Dan and Donna were great!!! The house we stayed in was the Cruella Deville.

We've stayed in many homes in Orlando and would recommend that you go to orlandovillas.com or vrbo.com. You can put in your request for what you are looking for and the dates you want and will receive e-mails from owners that have something available for you.
Good Luck. Bob
P.S. Orlandovillas.com has a map of all the neighborhoods that rent homes and you can see which ones are around Splendid China.

I too would recommend using www.onlinefloridavillas.com . This is what we used when seaching for a home, and all homes on the site are confirmed as vacation rentals. They also have a forum where you can find out answers to your questions. We are staying at this house http://www.onlinefloridavillas.com/Villas/1572.aspx#photographs . I posted a request for a 3 or 4 bdrm home (in the part which asks you what you are searching for). I also requested a family / child friendly home that was non-smoking. I was pleasantly surprised to get close to 100 replies!!!! I was able to choose and I am happy with our choice. It wasn't less than 100 a night, but when you factor in all of the conveniences it is all worth it to me. We are paying $1000 and that includes pool heat (factor this in depending on the time of year you visit) and taxes. So we are happy as it would cost us more to stay in two hotel rooms and we have more convenience this way.

Good luck on your search!! It is frustrating at times to keep looking as there are SOOOOO many ... but you find some great people along the way that can be very accomodating!

Hi Umaangel00.
That is a wonderful deal.
We are on a limited budget, and we are currently searching for a home that is affordable like you have stated above.

Can you please share with me the website that you used to book that?
Thanks in advance.

Yes, my understanding is that its 7 days (actually nights), with check in at 4 pm and check out usually around 10 am-ish.

My dad just rented a house for a month in the Splendid China area. It was 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths with a king bed in master, jacuzzi tub and a pool for $59 a day. It was very nice and we thought the area was perfect, so much to do.If you need any other info let me know, good luck!

kerrynic 78 - thanks! I'd love to know about the house your dad rented. If you don't mind sharing it here, please do. Or if you want to PM me, that's ok too.

Thanks much!
