Vacation Planning and Fantasmic Premium Seating

I can't recall where I read this recently, but in a post about Fantasmic Premium Seating someone suggested that Vacation Planning can take care of this request prior to the 30 day window. I called Vacation Planning and while they also cannot book prior to the 30 day window, they can make the reservation for you and have access to the ticketing system right at 8 am PST so you don't have to be sitting by a phone. Once booked (they will call me tomorrow to confirm I got my tickets) the tickets will be waiting for me at the front desk when I check in - one less line to stand in!

Woohoo! Just got a call from Vacation Planning and my Fantasmic Premium seats are booked! The tickets will be included with my itinerary when I check in at the Grand Californian.

That's great to know! No worrying about long lines at Guest Services at the turnstiles to pick up your tix before 5 p.m. the day of the show. Thanks for the info!

Been looking on the website and can't find a number for vacation planning. Can you provide it to get the premium seating reservations?

You can actually pick up your tickets from Guest Services before the day of your show - that's what we did and there was absolutely no line up at the time. You will still have to line up to check in on the day of for seat assignment and then come back at the time though.

Just called and I am early since we won't be there until June 11th. Wow, it is expensive. Can't you just stand and watch the show if you get there early enough? I have 3 adults and 3 kids and your talking about over $300 for the show. Is it really worth it?

Yup, you can just stand there. It gets pretty crowded, that's all. Look back over the last couple of days, there's a related thread that has all the pros and cons, and some strategies for getting a good viewing spot. I really enjoyed it the preferred seating, but I doubt I'd pay for it with that many people in my party, either!

I agree that it is expensive. My reasons for booking premium seating is primarily the time difference - we are CST so a 9 pm show is really like going to an 11 pm show My 7 yo ds wouldn't have the patience at that late hour to wait it out for a show. It's only showing on the weekends when I am there so I'm guessing the shows will likely be busy. My mother is also coming with us and while she is in good health I think it would be more comfortable for her in a chair. No doubt it's a luxury item though.

See, I am debating it too. The kids really want to see it. We haven't see it yet mainly because both DH and I refuse to stake a spot 2+ hours in advance. Additionally, the we are also on CMT, so it will be hard for the kids too.

I booked my tickets this morning, for the 10:30 show. It is expensive, but this is a trip for just me and DD and I thought this would be something special we can experience together. I haven't been to see it, I'm really excited.
