Vacation Insurance Advice needed...

So we are going to Vero Beach for 2 nights and then to SSR for 4 nights this fall. I booked SSR on developer points so I can't get vacation insurance on that, but I was wondering if anyone on here would buy the vacation insurance for the Vero Beach part. It's the very end of September in hurracaine season, and something tells me to buy it because it doesn't seem like it costs too much and I can't tell the future so it may come in handy.

Would you guys buy it??

We generally don't go for insurance on our DVC points UNLESS we book through reservation points (the Disney Collection, for example the DCL). Otherwise points come back to us if we cancel within the normal time windows (without going into "holding").

If there was a danger that a potential vacation cancellation would put our points into "holding" we would consider the insurance - but only for a larger sum of points.

The insurance is costly - if you use it all the time when you don't have to.
