We were to stay 6 nights at thanks GF and had to leave after the 3rd night due to my autistic daughter tantruming. I went to the front desk and was told if I left before 11 am I would not be charged the remaining three days. Penny the cast member said she took care of it. Again when I was leaving I let them know I was heading out and they said I didn't need to do anything. This morning I received my efloio and was charged for all the days. Does anyone have experience with this? I'm already stressed from having to leave quickly like that. Is this easy to resolve?

Easy to resolve - just call them.

Just a suggestion for when you call; be polite, ask the agent if they can help you, explain the situation calmly.

Umm did you talk to the same CM when you were leaving ? I can see where the problem lies if you didn't talked to the same CM. If penny helped you out and told you it will be ok IF you check out by 11 and then you just went by the front desk and said I am checking out but didn't explain the situation or asked for a folio most likely they assume today was your check out date and the system will do it automatically therefore no one checked you out manually like this would have required also the system didn't checked you out like it would have by 11 because it wasn't your check out date. I would call and see what happened. If the second one happend I think it will be harder to get your money back because technically they still thought you were in your room and they didn't re sell your room.

If you had a room-only reservation, you were charged at check-in for the balance of your stay. That's always the way it works. You might have to wait a few days for a credit. If you don't see one come through in 3-4 days' time, call.

So sorry that happened. We take our autistic DS, started when he was about 14. We knew from earlier beach vacations that he gets very stressed in a regular hotel room, so we always stay in a family suite, cabin or 1BR villa. It gives him some more "hominess" and also plenty of space if he needs to be alone.

If your DD likes to make noise, a cabin is a wonderful choice. You don't have anyone around you so you don't have to stress about keeping her quiet, which may lead to more noise, more stress, so on and so on.

I hope you can try again and she will enjoy Disney World.

Great advice. On the rare occasion where we had any major problems, this is how we handled it. The CMs take so much heat from guests all day long that they're relieved and more willing to go the extra mile for you.

Glad the billing got worked out for the OP, hope you have better luck next trip. :)
