I just got to work and found out I have been approved for November 11th - 18th and 10/26- 11/5. If you could go to WDW during these weeks which one would you choose and why? I am kind of leaning towards 10/26-11/5 so we could spend 11 days in WDW and be there for Halloween. I am also on the fence about hotels since I have a friend who can get us a cast member discount. My daughter says since we are getting the discount lets go with a deluxe resort where I am thinking we should go with a value and save all of that money for meals and shopping etc. My granddaughter will be 4 at the time so I know she will love All Stars and since we only sleep there I don't really care about the resort. I know I am rambling! I am just so excited. Cannot wait to sit down with my daughter tomorrow and make some decisions.

10/26-11/5 would be my choice. We used to visit WDW during that timeframe every year (our fall trip has since been pushed to the end of November/beginning of December) and loved it. The weather was always great and the crowds were very manageable. The 11th-18th isn't a bad time either, but the crowds do see an increase because of Veteran's Day. As for the resort, why not compromise and choose a Mod?

I haven't been during either of those time frames but dh and I are going by ourselves this year and looking at the 12-17 of November because I want to see Christmas decorations. I think either one would be great and I agree meet in the middle for a mod. Happy planning.

We will be going 13-18 because we want to do the Christmas Party. We've been during Halloween time, I think it was Oct. 29 maybe for a Halloween Party and the weather was ok and the crowds were light.

If you want to go more for the Halloween stuff, go on the earlier dates. If you want to go more for the Christmas decorations, go on the later dates.

Perhaps look at doing a split stay? Stay the first part in the Value and then the last part in a Deluxe (I wouldn't recommend doing it in the reverse order! :) ) Split stays are pretty easy. On the day you are changing resorts you just pack up your bags and drop them with Bell Services and ask them to transfer them to your new resort. Then go out and play for the day. When you are done playing for the day, head back to your new resort and check in. You just pick up your bags from Bell Services (or they will deliver them to your room, but you must be in the room to receive them). We do this all the time and love it. By the second half of your trip the family might be ready for some pool time and then you would be at the Deluxe resort and have the better pool amenities. Just something to consider.

Have a great trip!
