THE GIRLS have taken a Jan/Feb vacation the past 2 years...we are in the process of trying to think of something to do this year....Do You have any experience with a warm weather vacation this time of year????

Please any and all ideas wanted...

Thanks ZW

I just got home from a girls only vacation to the Dominican Republic and loved every moment of it !!!!!

But I'm a girl, will you adopt me for Jan/Feb (and maybe for your upcoming Disney trips too???) I'd love to go somewhere warm in Jan!

What about a short cruise to a nice hot destination? My parents love Cabo San Lucas that time of year. Okay, maybe I did have ideas! :teeth:

Cancun at Club Med is nice and it's adults only so no kidlets to contend with under 18. The all inclusive is nice because your food and drinks (alcoholic too) are included.

A cruise is nice because once you are there you are there with tons of things to do.

Vegas because well...I love Vegas

There is always a cruise. We went to Punta Cana a couple of years ago in the winter - it was great and not expensive! Duh! There's always WDW!!!!

What are the girls looking to do other than be warm?

Puerto Rico!!!

If you stay in Isla Verde, you can beach it all day and go to fine restaurants in the evening, with a dash of gambling in the casinos, if that is to your liking.... or you could just hang out and have cocktails in the Wyndham El San Juan.

Old San Juan is close by if you want to walk around and shop.

El Yunque Rain Forest is about 45 minutes away by car. If you go there, definitely stop at the El Conquistador for lunch.

I love Puerto Rico in February!!!

I just got back from Punta Cana and it is very pretty, but they got hit by the huricanes so I would put that off for a while. Cruising is awesome but again a lot of routes are being changed due to the damage from the hurricanes. I vote for Playa Del Carmen, Mexico-my favorite non-Disney vacation. The Iberostar Paraiso Lindo and the Riu Playacar are both great resorts. Be sure and visit the ruins and Xcaret nature park if you go!

Thanks for all the great ideas...any more/?

Bahamas are cold that time of the year. I'd head to Rio or Belize!

yours...they all *say* they want to go to LasVegas and "sing along with Celine"
;)LOL!....
...but when it comes right down to getting out the cc, no one will do it...oh well...I'll just take DH and make HIM sing with me..:teeth:

Have fun planning what will be a wonderful,- rejuvenating,- full -of- laughter,-get away!!:)

:sunny:

Just a warning: Vegas isn't warm in Jan/ Feb. We were there March 1st and the highs were in the 60s. Not what you think of weather-wise when you think of Vegas. It's still fun, though!
