Does anyone have one of these?? My 5 yr old daughter wants one for Christmas. Thought I would see what others thought of it first. Thanks! :sunny:

My son got it for Christmas last year and absolutely loves it! I personally think the graphics could be better for the amount you pay per game, but they are educational and he absolutely loves playing it.

My DD (3) got one for Christmas last year and plays it several times a week. I also think the graphics could be better, but we've still gotten our money's worth considering how much play time she's logged, LOL. Some of the games are too hard for a 3 year old, but I think it would be perfect for a 5 year old. It's educational and fun. (I admit it, I've played a few times myself. ;) )

How old is your son? If you don't mind my asking. My daughter is 4 and we purchased a gamecube a few months back thinking that she would have fun messing around with it. Well it turns out that all of the games are either to advanced and she can't keep up or they are too slow and she gets bored right away, so we are selling it on Ebay. We've never had any type of gaming system so we thought it would be appropriate for her level, we were wrong. Anyhow, everytime we go to the store she see's the v-smile and plays around with it and says she wants one. If we were going to get another system I would prefer it be educational as well as entertaining and this appears to be more at her level. Just curious to see what other think of it.

We got it for my DD5 last Christmas. She was 4 then and she loves it and plays it a couple times a week still. We are even getting her some more games for Christmas this year. Her favorite game right now is the Spiderman one. I think it is well worth the money.

We also got my DS a VSmile last year for his Birthday. He enjoys playing it as well as my DD7. We are getting him a new game this year for his birthday.
It has been worth the money. The games we have are Pooh, Spiderman, Adventure Park (came with the unit), Lion King, and Scooby Doo. He's getting Learning Wheels for his Birthday.

Thanks so much for the information! It's hard to spend a lot of $ on any toy if your not sure that they are going to enjoy it. I like that it's fun and educational. :flower:

My son will turn 3 the day after Christmas this year and he got this game system for Christmas from his Papa last year. He couldn't really play it then, but loves it now. It is very educational!

I just bought one at Sams. It was 68.00 I think and it came with the adapter, scooby doo game and the starter game and an extra controller. I thought this was a great deal. Just a heads up.

I saw this in the Target toy book for $50.00 I believe. It only came with the one game and one controller. So, the deal from Sam's sounds GREAT!!

My five year old DD is actually playing hers right now as I type this. She received it last Christmas and it is still being used very often. Her favorite game is the Care Bears and then Scooby Doo. She is getting a few new games this year for Christmas (Spongebob and Cinderella) so I expect it will still continued to be used quite often.

mine also received it last year for xmas and love it. we have the ariel, pooh, toy story, spiderman and carebears. we use the adapter since it does seem to eat alot of batteries. I didnt buy the extra joystick since they cannot play each other and just share it. This year they will be getting dora and scooby doo to add to their games..

So you can't do 2 player games? I didn't realize that. Of course, it still may be worth getting the extra one so there's no fighting over the one controller. Dd is young enough that she probably won't notice the difference.

it's definately worth the extra controller! They don't play against each other, but the game will tell you when it's player 2's turn. Easier to have two then have them pass one controller back and forth. My dd got hers last yr for Christmas when she was 5. This yr she's getting the handheld version and some new games. The handheld plays the same games as the base system. Get the adaptor, as someone else said it eats batteries. Note to self: see if the handheld has a car adaptor!

mine share it so it really isnt worth the extra $$$ to me. they can pick one or two players at the beginning of the game and take turns- which is good for them to learn at their age anyhow..

My DS5 loves his Vsmile!!! He plays it alot. We also have a playstation2 and a gameboy, and he actually prefers the Vsmile. (and I don't mind because it is more educational!)
