V&A's Chef's Table Question

My husband and I are looking at booking the Victoria and Albert's Chef's Table for our October trip. I am trying to tentatively plan our days. I thought I had read somewhere that the chef's table is not available every day. Is that true? If so does anyone know what days it is not available?

It's very hard to get and usually booked up a long time in advance. We did the Queen Victoria room last December for the first time and loved it. I'm not sure I can go back to the main dining room now. But if you can't get the chef's table, do the QV if you haven't done that before.

It's currently closed for renovation but typically open every night but only for one reservation per night no matter what the party size. So you can just be a couple and that is fine...you take the table...

To clarify the posts about difficulty, it's really not that it's difficult, it's just unforgiving if you aren't on top of booking. If you call as soon as they open at the start of your 180 day booking window, you have a fair chance of getting the table. There is only one reservation per night, as others have said, but all you have to do to get it is be the first caller. You'll only be competing with people who have long enough trips to overlap with yours. If you're booked for 10 days, then the 10th day of your trip is guaranteed to be available first thing in the morning, so it's all up to timing on your phone call.
