Has anyone had a bad exp there. I ma trying to decide if I am going to go on Saturday night.

It depends what you call bad. My wife didn't enjoy it but I didn't think it was that bad. This was 2 years ago.
We went to early seating and food (main course) took forever to arrive. Nobody said anything to us. Finally V came over and said that the chef was not happy with how our food came out and was redoing it. The chef also sent us out frois gras as part of apology. After dinner, the coffee trick didn't work either. For our frustration and long wait, went in at 6 left at 10:30, they took 20% off bill.
Wife said she didn't want to go back again but has recently said she may give it another try. We have res for Feb if we go down.

I know of one person several years ago who was just a "beef and potatoes" person and wanted to stop at McDonal's for a hamburger on the way home.

We go almost every year -- and have always had an incredible evening. The atmosphere combined with food quality/presentation is first rate.

If however -- you are a "meat and potatoes" kind of person -- you should not bother. If you enjoy "fine" dining -- it is well worth it.

We have never had a problem with the timing of food. We did one time have a rather sloppy/load guy eating near us.... but ... it still didn't ruin the dinner.

The Coffee trick - has worked every time for us -- and I enjoy watching it. The Chocolate Souffle dessert is great (if you like chocolate) -- if not, try the creme brulee (both are almost always options).

We always ask for Ann (formerly "Victoria") for a server.

It is a special event that we look forward to for months... but then, we don't get the chance to eat out at really nice restaurants at home -- due to small children (thanks to Grandparents who are on vacation with us -- they babysit).

ENJOY if you decide to go.

I enjoy a leisurely dinner, but wow - I would been hopping up and down to get out of there!
