I hear great things about Victoria and Albert's. One, how much is it for a couple (roughly)? And is it worth it? Also, can DW, who generally is pasta and veggies only, find some good things on the menu?
Thanks for the feedback.

It looks like V&A's might be up to $105 per person plus $60 per person for wine pairings. Plus tax and tip ;).

If your wife has any special dietary needs (like being a vegetarian) you can call in advance and let them know what she can eat.

Here's a menu:

Is it worth it? We think so, but we are omnivores and enjoy the less common items on the menu, including the Foie Gras .

We just made a ressie for there for in Sept. I believe that they quoted us at $90 per guest, plus $45 for wine. I know that the most recent review on allearsnet is more $$, but I think that could be because that review is from Valentine's Day.

Also, I only eat vegetarian + fish. DH let the CM know when he reserved, and they said that it wouldn't be a problem and made note of it. I have heard that they can even accomodate vegans.

We were there a few weeks ago and it was $95 per person and $50 for the wine pairings. I got the wine pairings, my fiance did not, but had several mixed drinks. Our check, including tip, was around $370. Well worth it, in our opinion.

Call and speak to them directly at the restaurant about food preferences. While every course except for cheese and dessert only had meat, poultry, and seafood choices, I'm sure arrangements could be made.

I believe at the moment it's $95 per person and the wine pairings are $50. That can easily change at any time. I wrote a review of V&A (for another site) a while back and between the time I wrote it and the time it appeared on the site--the price went up!!
Since the menu changes daily, hard to know exactly what will be available the night you're there. I do know that they will do their best to accomodate you based on what they have available that nite.

Yup, I think Deb's site had the special Valentine's day menu up which was more expensive. Sorry for any confusion!

I made PS for October 24 and the price quoted is $95 and an additional $50 for wine pairing. What exactly does "wine pairing" mean? A glass with each course or glasses of several wines????

Basically a wine pairing is a wine for each course that is selected to go with your choice for that course

I was at V&A's on 7/31. It was the best meal I've ever had! The food was delicious and the service was great. Very attentive without hanging over you. We did the wine pairings and the staff pairs an appropriate wine with each of your courses. There are six courses and we had wine with each. I loved it and can't say enough good things about it.

As of yesterday, it was $90.00 pp and $50.00 pp for the wine pairings for 8/25 (our 20th). Can't wait!

Have you ever seen solo diners at V&A?

Just wondering as all my trips are solo now.

Thanks, Cindy:wave2:
