DH's one assignment for our June trip is to book the Chef's Table at V&A's for our 22nd anniversary. Today we are 180 days from our arrival. When DH WDW this morning he was told that he could not make the ADR/ressie until 180 days from the day we want to dine?

I am so confused!! I guess I don't understand this 180 rule thing :confused3

Well if you want to dine there on your arrival day, then today you can make the ADR. But if you want to eat there 5 days after you check in, you will have to call back in 5 days. It's 180 days from the date you want to eat at the restaurant - not from your arrival date.

Thanks scanne! I thought we could make ressies for up to 10 days after the day of our arrival at 180 days out. Chalk it up to another blonde moment.

No problem!

Enjoy the Chef's Table. DH and I ate in the main dining room at V&A's in August 05 and I fell in love with the place. Can't wait to go back this coming October - I'm surprising my DH with a trip to WDW and we're eating at V&A's on his birthday!!!

Disney Jen, you are not having a blonde moment (I'm one too). V&A is one of the exceptions to the 180 day arrival plus 10 rule. They only book the chef's table exactly 180 days from the day you eat there as the other poster stated. I also recently booked the CT and had to wait a few days after I made all my other ressies for the exact 180 days. BTW, they will need a credit card guarantee to hold it so have your cc ready before you call. Word of advice, call at 7:00 AM to be sure to get it!!!

Thanks MissMinnie ... leave it to a Jersey Girl to set this Philly Girl straight ;)

This whole 180 plus rule makes planning a little more interesting, don't you think?

Scanne, we have dined at V&A's many many times ... the first was for our 10th anniversary some 12 years ago. DH held my 40th birthday party for 20 of my family and friends a year or two or three years ago. We had the fireplace room ... it was so lovely. After dinner, our Victoria and Albert took me back to the kitchen where I had a brief tour and got to meet Chef Scott. It was then that I decided I wanted to dine at the Chef's Table. I am sure your DH will LOVE your surprise!

Okay, back to the PS Calculator ... and I will dust off that Disney Visa card :earboy2:

Thanks!

Just a warning from someone's who eaten at the Chef's Table. I think it's the second hardest reservation to get (behind the Princess Breakfast). We tried for three days in a row and only got it on our last day. This with us both calling right as the lines open.

If you really want to eat there....I'd start trying to reserve a spot now. You can always cancel if you get it on your 1st choice day, but what a shame not to and to realize you've wasted five chances!

Rachel

ps. Also I'd hate you to put DH in the doghouse if he couldn't get the ressie. It's not easy! ;)

WOO HOO :Pinkbounc :cool1: :Pinkbounc

DH just emailed me that he was able to get the Chef's Table at V&A's for our 22nd anniversary in June! He called about 7:15 East Coast time.

I can't hardly wait!!

Congrats. YOu must be thrilled! Can't wait to read your report - even though we have to wait 6+ months! :teeth:

I can't wait to show DH your review (he is overseas on business until Friday night).
