UY being sold right now by DVC?

Has anyone talked with DVC directly lately to see what use year they are selling at SSR right now? I know that you can sometimes request a certain use year but didn't know what they were offering.

Recent reports indicated February or March, with buyer receiving 2005 points immediately (DVC has taken to calling these "bonus points" since we are 6-7 months into the Use Year).

I referred friends who were on site and purchased last weekend. Their use year is March.

i also joined this week. the rep said i can use the points now, or i can bank it for next year. paying 4 month's of monthly fee and get full points, not bad i say

The deadline for banking 100% of Dec UY 2004 points has already come and gone - I have the 50% banking deadline of August 31, 2005, however. So, I changed my current Oct 05 reservation (now 2 days at AKL and 7 days at SSR - using 76 points). I just banked the remaining 74 points yesterday. I'll use most of them for a Jan/Feb trip plus I'll soon get my Dec 2005 points (I bought 150 total).

changjoe, how did you manage to bank all the 2004 points? Did you buy earlier this year and meet the 100% banking deadline? Just curious since I could only bank a maximum of 75 points.

There appears to be inconsistency over the banking "new" purchased points past the UY banking deadlines. A number of posters on recent threads have passed info supporting changjoe. Probably a communication breakdown between the selling end of the business and MS. Esulerzy, are you in the end "losing" any points? If so, I would pursue with managment. DVD needs to know that clarifying points such as these may help buyers decide between DVD-direct purchases and resales.

Blue&Gold, I didn't realize folks were getting different answers regarding banking "bonus" points. No, I'm not losing any points. I'll use 76 in Oct. and have banked the remaining 74. Which works well for me as I have another trip scheduled for Jan/Feb and will use them at that time - plus I'll have my 150 points from Dec UY (2005) added to my account. I'm very pleased with the process I was given for the "bonus" points.

I did originally ask to bank all of the "bonus" points (as I had already paid in full for AKL for my Oct vacation) but was told, in order to get them, I would have to use some before Dec 05. Not a big issue for me - called CRO and modified my AKL reservation - they couldn't have been nicer. And, now I have a $1300 credit on my account from that modification. I guess it depends on who you call and when you call as to what "bonus" and UY you get.

We signed our paperwork on JUly 30, will be closing mid-September.
We got Feb use year, were given the 2005 points, and were told since the banking deadline has already passed that it would be waived and we could bank as many as we wanted. The guide mentioned it before we even thought to ask about it. We'll be using some, but not all of them before Feb, so we just have to figure out how many to bank... If you end up needing to bank any, I'd definitely call your guide and mention that others have been able to do the same thing...
