UUggghhh I feel sick

Not stalking you or anything, but watching your tweet with interest..

You can claim points on velocity for delta flights...I just like delta more as they have a better points program especially for internal flights in the USA. So join both.

Gotta love twitter:thumbsup2

As for my 'issue'....not telling the DH.....he's on a need to know basis...and he really doesn't need to know:rotfl:

So, we got offered $475 vouchers (which are better than nothing ) but i'm going to call up and see if there is anything else I can do, as i'm not sure when our next journey would be.
If I could use the vouchers toward hotels or something i'd just go for it but I don't think this is the case :headache:

sorry to hear about the price difference at least they are offering you something and i am with battymum you have to stop looking once you've paid not that i can help myself double checking i got a good deal :rotfl2:

I would plead the case of I am in Australia and don't have access to delta flights etc....they may just refund you the diff onto your credit card.

Or you could just sell the e vouchers to others who are flying delta in the future...you can purchase tickets in other people's names, just not combine them....

Go onto the site flyer talk, go into the delta site and ask the expert frequent flyers, I'm sure someone may have a great idea.....:hippie:

Annoying about the price $ in flights, but good that Delta has responded to you via Twitter. If the vouchers are $475 each depending on when the expiry is, that is a good start for your airline saving for the next trip, because we all know you will want to go back....

So I called Delta directly, if I could have put my hand through the phone to punch him, I so would have...

If you don't get joy with an agent, hang up and ring again.....it's amazing how this works.
Dont give up.......

LOL he couldn't even understand me, combined with a bad line :rolleyes1

The fares today are only $300 different, so there you go (although Delta still had yesterdays price as it was closer to $1500 than the $1800 i'm seeing today)

I should start an airline :thumbsup2 licence to print money...

try using their automated system...doesnt recognise P, T or S :confused3.....argued with the system for frontier airlines for over 40 mins before a person came on..one of the most frustrating things I have ever had to deal with.

just call back, I'm sure youll find a helpful agent eventually:rotfl2:

So, i'm just going to take the credit and look on it as a gift, and I think we're going to do a day trip to San Francisco LOL

We have the time, so why not?? :thumbsup2

great idea..we used our $200 credit towards our lax-vegas 24 hr trip...

you may be able to fly business with that amount of $$$$$:thumbsup2

and make sure you sign up for delta skymiles, as the trip will accrue points...

best days to search for flights tue/wed..cheaper..and clear your cookies, as delta will see your search history and pull higher fares/prices.

I am way excited again LOL pretty sure they didn't take out the $250/$150 fee (whatever it is) as DH and I both got $676, DS only got $200 odd LOL

Oh well, DH hasn't been to San Francisco and wants to go to Alcatraz, sounds great to me :thumbsup2

@DeltaAssist, seriously, if other businesses could interact with their customers like they do, what a great service, this was all done through Twitter :thumbsup2

told you delta@assist rocks :thumbsup2

glad its working out for you , but twitter re: the diff totals for each pax. as every $$$ helps.

when you search flights, use www.hipmunk.com first to see whats the schedule is...with delta you can use partner carriers as well ie: alaska air etc (just double check).

exciting times...and the best experiences with travelling come from situations just like this :woohoo:

:thumbsup2 thats great that you got such quick service unlike the hours you have to spend on the phone to wait to talk to someone for Qantas.

So true, even trying to speak to somebody in their reservations was hard, weird to think there is a language barrier, but there is

Making the most of a situation, it's not a bad situation

Or Flight Centre!!

I went in Wednesday week ago and Saturday a week ago and left messages with two other agents as mine was not in. They sent emails to her with my questions and concerns. Nuth'n. I'm trying to chase up my price beat vouchers and change seat allocations.

It is only that I got a deal from the travel expo that I went with them and then they screwed up all my planning. :headache:
