UT tickets and magicbands?

I'm not familiar with buying my tickets separately and I don't really understand how this all works. It seems like we have to go to Guest Services to get a ticket once we arrive unless we have linked to a magic band.

Here's where I'm most confused. We have original magic bands from 2013. Can we use those? Or do we need to get new ones? Is there a way to get magic bands if you are staying offsite? I'm new to offsite.

Thanks in advance for helping! We are trying to cut some corners this time and I want to make sure I don't make any time wasting mistakes.

When I have bought UT tickets they send me the ticket in the mail and I put the numbers in to my online account. Your magic band is already linked to the account also. No need to go to guest services.

Your magic bands from 2013 should still work for your tickets and FP. Obviously you can't use them to charge if you are offsite.

You can always buy new magic bands, either online or at the park. But it is not necessary.

If you log in to your disney account through the app it will show you all the Disney Bands you have linked to you. That will help you to figure out if you can just use the one you have or if you need to get a new one.
