Using WDW ticket at DLR

I just read on Mousesavers.com about using unexpired leftover days from WDW admission tickets for admission to DLR. It says:

"Present the Disney World ticket at the gate on arrival -- they will take it somewhere, deduct a day from it, and give you a one-day Disneyland Park Hopper ticket. You can repeat this day by day until the Disney World ticket is used up."

DH and I each have one, 1-day base ticket from WDW that is unexpired. Will we be able to use this to gain entrance to DLR? I would not expect them to exchange our base ticket for a park hopper, though, just for another base ticket. Does anyone know if this is possible?? :confused3

I am hoping that's the case, as I have a few days left over. Also, I have been to DL many times, but never DCA...can you reasonably do enough in both parks in 1 day to make a park hopper worthwhile? Or should I just pick a park and buy a regular 1 day ticket?

I would call and ask because I think you can park hop with these.....I haven't done it for years tho, when we did it last there was no DCA so I don't know for sure but I would call and ask. :)

If you have a WDW park hopper, you will get DL park hoppers.
If you have a 1 park WDW ticket, you will get a 1 park DL ticket.

A belated thank you to everyone who replied! I was having computer issues so didn't have a chance to get back on the Dis to check on this thread. :badpc:

This is great news! Thanks everyone!
