Looking for feedback from anyone who has had first hand experience using days left on a WDW park hopper for entrance into the parks at DLR. Also admission for a child who is no longer younger than 10. It is much of a hassle? Thanks!

We did this two years ago and it took a couple extra minutes because they had to go get a scanner or something to read our ticket and then give us a 1 day ticket for Disneyland. We used it for two days and had to do the same thing each morning. I had read to do this at the Guest Services window but when we went there, they told us to just go over to the gate and they'd take care of it. Sorry can't help with your second question as we were just two adults.

We did this last June and used a 1994 WDW Park Hopper with 1 day left and they gave my DH a 1 day Disneyland Park Hopper. He had to go to the main gate and not the Grand Californian entrance to CA Adventure. Someone had to go and get a scanner and they kept his original ticket.

I still have my 1994 WDW Park Hopper left with one day on it, just for emergencies. I suppose I could use it at WDW one of these days, if I need it. It is cool. They used to have photos on the hoppers back in the good old days ;).

You say you have a WDW Park Hopper for a child and you want to exchange it for a Disneyland Park Hopper for a 10+? How much older than 10? I almost think that they won't care. I don't think they care at WDW, do they?

I don't know about DL but I recently used an old WDW ticket at WDW that was a childs ticket...it had one day left on it...my daughter is now an adult and they exchanged if for an adult ticket without an extra charge. My guess is that DL would do the same. Good luck.

Thanks for the help--yes, our tickets were bought back when they did not expire. We still have 3 days on each ticket, and we will only be using 2. dd is almost 16, but we were told by a Disney Cast Member once upon a time, that WDW would upgrade any ticket bought for a child if the child is older when they return to use the rest of the days. Just wondering what the experience might be at DLR. I guess we will find out soon!
