Using waitlist

So I have a reservation booked with my points for early September. We’re thinking we might like to go in November but nights weren’t available. So I waitlisted the stay in November. I was given the choice to “cancel” the September trip if the waitlist comes thru and I said yes. Is it ok to have a waitlist after the existing reservation?
also I have purchased park tickets for my September trip, if the November trip comes thru will I be able to change my park tickets or are they lost? The one I purchased I had to choose dates for so I could make park pass reservations
 
Yes. You do not have to set up a waitlist to replace the same dates. So, if you want the new November trip to use points from the canceled September, it was set up correctly !

You can adjust the start date of tickets And pay any difference. The cost you paid is not lost!
