Using TS Credits for QS

We have the free dining plan in September. Each day you get one TS and one QS credit, but we only want to do 4 table service meals (all 4 are character meals - but we feel that's enough, and the TS restaurants weren't meshing with our schedule.). Can you use the other TS credits at QS places?

The answer is "maybe". Technically it doesn't seem like they allow substitution of credits (the original version of 2012 DDP brochure said you could, but the current one no longer says that). It only says you cannot trade TS or CS credits for snacks.

Folks have reported having some luck downgrading credits at resort CS locations, but not inside the parks/DTD. At the resorts, it seems to depend on the CM.

We were there during free dining last October. Our plans changed mid week and literally every TS restaurant had no availability. We had zero problems changing or TS credits to QS. Every cast member acted as if they did it all the time. This however, was last year.

Thanks for the replies! I wrote to Disney and they responded that using TS for QS is the only substitution allowed with the credits, and they were sure to point out that you get no compensation for it. (Which makes sense since you are chosing to use it that way!)
