Now that I am actually scrapping photos, I have begun using some of the papers and things from the kits sold at WDW. Some of the papers are very busy, what is on them is nice, and I wasn't thrilled with the idea of covering it with photos or journalling. But I came up with an idea yesterday on how to use it in a two page layout. I cut the 12 x 12 paper in half, and when put the layout together it goes in the "middle" so the intended image is complete. Then on both sides I had room for pictures without covering anything.

Here is an example:

I love that idea!! Wish I had thought of it. I bought two of everything I bought while in WDW, since I do two albums of each trip, but lots of the papers were "one of a kind" and I had lots of trouble finding coordinating papers to do two page L/Os. For example, I ended up searching and searching until I found a purple that coordinated well with the paper you show above. And it worked out okay. But I LOVE what you did better! Thanks for sharing.........................P

BTW: Did you have trouble with the photo pages of the icons not being "cut" right? I noticed that my icons are off center on some of my pages and there is another "icon" showing on the edge of the page.

Yes, and so I trimmed that part out. If you were to measure that Epcot page, one "half" is technically 3/4" narrower than the other.

I love that idea! For more than just Disney paper! I have paper that I love, but only one sheet. What a great way to make it work for 2. Thanks for sharing! :)

I purchased a page kit while in WDW last year because I thought the paper was nice then when I got home I didn't use it because I didn't want to cover the page. But your idea is great. Thanks for sharing.

Great idea!

I also cut the paper in half sometimes when it's too busy/overpowing or I only have one sheet and need a 2 page layout. One of my favorite things to do for patterned paper is to cut it in half diagonally and use one on each side.

I love this idea as well! I enjoy buying the busy paper because I really like the pictures on it but I can never but that much down because I don't want to cover it up!

Wonderful layout. I love how you did that!:thumbsup2

very nice...may I use your idea? I hadn't thought of this until I saw yours.

That's a great idea, Hope!! I'm definitely going to use that one! ;)

wow i love that idea. you could use that on many different pages. thanks for sharing

who would have thunk that!

I have the same paper and thought it was too pretty to cover with pictures:lmao: so I ended up using it as a title page and putting the day and date on it as a lead in to what park we went to that day
