Using someone else's FP+ and MB

We are taking a trip over spring break but during the day time my husband has to work some of the days. If two of us go to the MK can I let my son use my husbands FP's? Will that use my husbands entry for the day making it so we can't eat in Epcot or AK later in the evening? Would his MB work without him entering with us?

Yes, your son can use the MagicBand. All your husband's ticket entitlements remain intact because the FP tapstiles only access the FP data.

I fully agree the Mickey Head reader at the ride to use your FP will not affect ticket media.

Clarification (and apologies for not knowing): is it true that you can use FP+ reserved for a guest who did not enter the park? Seems like a huge loophole.

Yes, it's true. The in park FP system only checks for valid FPs at the ride tapstiles.

Yes, it works when they don't enter the park. My youngest was sick one day and he, my DH, my mom, and grandma stayed back in the morning. We left them DH's MB so they could go in and out of the rooms, as we had connecting rooms and so they could access meal and snack credits. My dad, my other son and I took, the other 3 MB with us and used them to ride TSMM twice on the FP even though they hadn't entered the park. My mom and grandma joined us at lunch time and I just walked out and gave them their bands and they entered. My son and DH stayed at the resort all day and we used my son's ToT And ST FP as well.
