I am planning on booking a cruise for 2003 using my points. My question is, when I book, can I request a specific room? I was under the impression that when you book a cruise through DCL or a TA, that you know what room you will be in when you book, is it the same when you go through member services and use points???

Thanks for your help

I can't answer about cruising on points. However, when we booked through Dreams Unlimited, we knew the cabin number immediately, and could have requested a specific cabin if we wanted to.

To answer your question, YES. MS will give you your room number at the time of making your reservation. It is a quick process.

When my DH and I went on the 7-day cruise back in 2000 we used points to book our cruise. We were told when we booked what room we were in, so I imagine that you can request a specific room.

Also, I believe the level you stay on affects how much you "pay" for the cruise (whether using points or cash).

Hope this helps!

I just booked the 5/22 Wonder Cruise for 3 nights. This is the first time that our family will be cruising. It will be me, dh, dd (she'll be 6) and ds (who will be 2.) I thought the 3 night would be a good start for us. We will follow up with 5 nights at a std studio at BWVs. I just got back from Disney this past Sat and now I feel whole again because I have my next trip to look forward to.

Wahoo :Pinkbounc !!!!

Now I have to figure out how to put that countdown back on again!!! That should be a challenge for the non-computer I am.

Congratulations! I hope to follow in your footsteps in August by booking BWV and a 3 day for next July. I think you can find the information about the countdown clock on the tech support board!:D

... booking a DCL cruise with points -- do you get the same service on the ship such as maid service done twice daily??

When you book using points, you are actually using Member Services as your "travel agent". Everything is the same just as if you booked your cruise with cash. :)
