Using Points for Adventures by Disney?

We want to take a Adventures by Disney vacation in 2011 (Backstage Magic in California) to celebrate DH's 60th birthday. Has anyone used their points for an Adventures by Disney vacation? How did it work for you? We only have 150 points, will have about 200 with banked points for 2011. Can we use part points and pay the rest in cash?

For 2010, the Backstage Magic ABD tour is 341point per person. If you want to use points and cash, each person would have to be paid fully by one method. You can not do a mixture of points and cash for one person.

Yes, you can do points for one person, cash for the other. We did this for our Viva Italia trip last year. The only problem w/ doing that is you have to pay in full at time of booking and your points are also taken immediately for the trip. I know others on our trip who paid cash only, had to just pay a deposit and paid in full closer to the departure date.

It wasn't a big deal for us b/c we had already been saving for the trip. And as others may tell you, it's not the best value for your points by using them for ABD. We have no regrets, though. It was the best trip we have ever been on!
