Experienced cruisers know that there are always great deals on cruises. A huge number of cabins on every cruise are sold by cruise specialists or consolidators -- some through your local travel agent, and others online. If you buy from the cruise line -- any cruise line -- you are paying the equivalent of a hotel's "rack rate."
I saw a post on another thread in the last couple of days where a guy had gotten a 7-day Disney Cruise to the Eastern Caribbean for $599 per person. I'm not sure of his accommodations, or his embarkation date, but $599 per person! He mentioned saving $1,000 by paying cash and buying outside of Disney. And that was not through some fly-by-night outfit -- that was through Expedia.
