Using New Disney Card for Points

Yay, we've decided to add on 100 points at BCV while Magical Beginnings is still available (I"m sooooo happy), but I have question about the new Disney Card. On our initial purchase we used a credit card to accumulate miles on and I would like to use our New Disney Visa for the add on, but I think I remember reading somewhere here that you don't earn reward dollars for purchase of DVC. Does anyone know for sure? I would love to get the reward dollars, but more miles are always welcome.

I feel foolish, but I'm sitting here with a big smile on my face just thinking about adding on!

I did a small add-on with the new Disney Visa and I received the reward dollars, so yes, you do receive them.

Used my Disney Visa for the down payment on my 100point BWV add-on. In fact, when the points became available, the Disney Visas were just being sent out and I told DVC they needed to wait a few days for my Visa to arrive.

I put my down payment on the disney visa too, Im not brave enought to put my non mb 90 point bwv add on on a charge card, but if I had the cash in the bank I would!!

I did a bal transfer and got magic dream points for the bal transfer, so im sure its good for all purchases and transfers.

I dont even know what the points will be good for , are they only good for spending certificates, or will they give you offers to double them by buying certain items with them like discover card does? I wonder , I will have to look into that.

We just bought DVC at BCV and put the whole 160 points on our Disney Visa. We will pay it off pronto. You earn the points for all purchases but I thought I read that balance transfers and cash advances do not earn points? I think you can get Disney Dollars with your points earned. My mom got the card too and says she will give them to us. Of course, she is not the big spenders we are (HAHA)
