Using Mypoints for Disney Gift Cards

I have been saving to get a $50 Walgreens gc so I could get Disney ones. Well I go in to check since I will have enough once my last couple points clear.

There are only $10 Walgreen ones available??? Will they get more in the $25 and $50 range?

For sure no MYPOINTS for purchasing disney giftcards on disneystore.com through mypoints? usually mypoints sites will pop up saying no points for gift cards or something. I thought about doing this for our trip this year. Have you tried this and no points ??

I was looking to cash in my reward points, the rewards page no longer had Walgreen $25 or $50 cards listed.

I know you are not able to get points for purchasing Disney cards.

Just thought I would start saving up now since we are not planning WDW for at least 3 years. Just I have read on here how some people lost all their point and their accounts were closed so I just wanted to make sure that I did not let too many points add up.

They come and go...last year after Christmas they didn't have all the values but they should restock!

Would love to know if it still works since this post is a little old. Please update us. I'm thinking this is a GREAT idea. I would have never thought to even try it.

I was thinking I might buy a $15 Walgreens card next time I'm in there, and then the time after that see if it would work at my store. It's not like I won't spend the original $15 at Walgreens eventually anyway. (I think $15 might be the minimum for a Disney Gift Card).

To bad Mypoints doesn't have a Disney gift Card! I use mine for RFC gift cards!

Check your local Target for Disney gift cards. My Walgreens won't let you use a Walgreens gift card to purchase other gift cards. Target, on the other hand, has no problem with it so you can order the Target card from Mypoints and do it that way.

I've cashed in two Walgreens $50 GCs for Disney GCs and had no trouble. I bought a few things and said I want to first run one card (Walgreens GC) Then I run my Disney Visa card for whats left. They never have a problem with it.
I would try the Target one if it is less points than the Walgreens GC but I hadn't noticed.
