Using multiple devices at once for booking

I always make sure that there is something else available or booked if I lose it in the switch.

For example, I was trying to move a trip from my Dec UY to my Aug UY with SSR points…it was a RiV 1 bedroom.

But I knew there were still PV and SSR was still available so I went for it…it was the one time I canceled three nights and only two came back…wouldn’t you know the one I lost was the middle one!

So, I booked what I could, and waitlisted the middle one…while I secured PV for two of the nights…it did fill.

Yup I see. It's all about risk reward in that scenario.

We really don’t know how often the waitlist works and I am finding more than before rooms don’t come back, unless they are individual nights.

So, it’s always a gamble and why when I have tried it. I now do one night at a time, but always have my back up booked!!

I wanted to add a strong maybe.
I read if you have a reservation and waitlist to replace this a CM has to manually go in and sometimes it works sometimes it does not work but this is not a known.
Recently I had one night waitlisted a removed the back up room the night before..... I had my account most of the day hit refresh.... Nothing at 5:30 or about I left work.... when I got home around 7 the waitlist was filled the email had a 6:?? time on it. I think if one does not have a replacing reservation it may be an auto fill in real time.

I have had a waitlist match that was not a replace that was sitting for processing.

Just had this happen…two nights for Aug…VGF…waitlisted for resort view….PV showed up…so I grabbed it and canceled the waitlist…sure enough…Resort view popped up and now grabbed them.

I hadn’t yet booked anything when the waitlist was set up.

Thst is why I believe there are a lot of moving parts to it all!!
