using mousesavers discount on car rental

I just used the mousesavers discount code on a car rental from Dollar located inside the airport. I was amazed at the savings. It only gave me a reservation number but I didn't have to put down any money. My question is: Without putting any money down will they honor the reservation? Since it is such a good savings I want to make sure they will honor it. I just thought it was odd that they didn't ask for any type of payment. I'm very cautious when it comes to reservations---can't you tell? Or is this common when you rent a car---you don't pay until you get it??? I can't remember.

It depends on the rental car company. The confirmation will be honored, just remember to bring a print out with you.

Dollar almost never requires a credit card to make a reservation. Some other companies do, it depends on the company. As the previous poster said, jut make sure you have your confirmation with you when you go to get the car and you shouldn't have a problem.

Alamo is the same way. They don't require a CC when reserving.... it caught my so off guard that I called Alamo to double check. Everything was fine.
