using mears transportation

Ive been looking into using mears to transport us from a disney hotel to Universal. Ive looked on the mears web site and they want you to book an airport shuttle before you add other shuttles around Orlando. I have already booked my mears airport shuttle through my tour operator...so obviously I dont want to make another!!!

Ive looked into other companies but it can be expensive when theres only 2 adults to split costs.

Would you suggest calling and booking transportation when I arrive in Orlando. Ive tried sending an email to mears but havent heard back yet. As im in England id prefer not to call now.

Any suggestions?

Mears is the cheapest (reasonable) way for 2 people to get from Disney to Universal.

You can wait and schedule them after you get to Orlando. I think you're supposed to call them the night before. I wouldn't sweat it.

It's really easy. Just go to any house phone at WDW the night before you want to go to Universal. Dial "0" then when the operator answers ask to be connected to Mears.

Tell Mears you want to go to Universal Studios then tell then about what time you want to go and what resort you are at. They will give you a pickup time.

When the driver arrives, it will be $13 round trip per person, cash only. When you get to Universal, you will receive a ticket for your return trip and a phone #. About two hours before you are ready to leave Universal, call that phone # and schedule a pick up time and when the time arrives, report to the same location where you were dropped off.

we used mears last oct arrived in airport at 11:30pm
took 2 1/2 hours to get to wdw
cheap is not always best
