Using Mears for Kennedy Space Center

Thinking about taking a trip to Kennedy Space Center. After checking the website for Mears, they have a shuttle from WDW to KSC for $35 r/t pp. My questions:

1. Do you tell Mears what time to be picked up or do they have set times when shuttles run?
2. Do you get the shuttle at the resort or another location? We're staying at OKW.
3. On the return trip, do you specify what time we want to picked up from KSC?

TIA for any info. :)

For more than one person, it may be cheaper to rent a car for the day.

I was thinking that, too. But, it will only be my DD and I. By the time I rent a car, buy gas, pay tolls, & parking, I think the shuttle would be more cost effective. Plus, I wouldn't have to drive. I'm nervous about driving in an area I'm not familiar with.

I can't find KSC on Mears sites. The only bus trips I've seen cost around $100 pp but includes KSC admission. Mears charges $30 R/T for transfers between MCO and hotels in the WDW area. $35 R/T for KSC sounds low.

In any case you'll be told where and when to get the bus and what time the bus leaves KSC. A car gives you more flexibility. I-4 to Beachline East then follow the signs.

You'll probably have to add the cost of a taxi to these numbers, unless you want to get up early and walk.

I did find Mears transport to KSC for $35 r/t pp. BUT it runs only on Mon/Wed/Fri. It does seem that the bus would head to whatever resorts that guests contracted from. Probably your best bet would be to call Mears directly and chat with them about your specific needs.

I don't know where in SJ you live but last week (and few times in the past) we drove to Port Canaveral, not far from KSC. Dh & I were just saying how driving in FL is a pleasure compared to here. (Cherry Hill)

do you own a GPS? It's mostly 1 long road, 528 East, with plenty of signs on the way.

That said it might be just easier to take the shuttle. You can sit back & relax. Nap if you're tired. ;)

I plan to go on a Friday and will call Mears for more info. I thought I'd check here to find out if anyone had any experience with Mears and KSC. Thanks.

Hi Cherry Hill! :wave2: I live near Hammonton (Route 30). I have driven to Maple Shade many times, but getting through Marlton is a headache!

Anyway, I'm flying from AC and don't want to rent a car. I plan to use the shuttle to make it easier....and a nap sounds good, too! I will use Undercover Tourist for tickets. Thanks for your suggestions. :)
