Disney Gift Cards are accepted everywhere credit/debit cards are accepted and your remaining balance will be printed on the receipt. Can I use GF to make payments in the parks and around the resort instead of charging back to my room via Magic band? If so is the balance update so that I can use the same card multiple times
Would be nice if the website was like a digital wallet where it would have a QR code to payI keep disneygiftcard.com bookmarked on my phone so that I can quickly check the balances on all of my cards. It also allows me to consolidate cards when one gets really low. I just use anything remaining on the cards towards my annual dues.
This is the way! I had older gift cards that didn't have the code (the red card with Mickey from Sams Club/BJs/Target) I ordered a few cards from shopDisney for $10 each just so I had them to transfer to.I have a Disney gift card with a scan code on it instead of a magnetic strip. I was able to scan the code into a mobile order instead of typing in the 16 digit number. That is a relatively new feature on the MDE app. I thought that was pretty convenient.![]()
This is great advice. I actually had my daughter mobile order on her phone and then the MDE App lets you scan the code of a gift card…so she just scanned it from my phone’s Apple Wallet. You have already gotten great answers, but I will add that if you want to use the GC for mobile orders or mobile check out in stores, save the GC # and the EAN in a note on your phone to copy and past into the app quickly.
I would also suggest having a physical GC for each adult (or person who will be making purchases), so everyone can pay that way.
My last tip is to tell the cast member that you are using a Disney Gift Card when you check out. It allows them to set things up on their end for easy payment. At least that has been my experience!
I used to do that but since several people had their disneygiftcard.com accounts hacked and lost all the funds, I stopped leaving cards on the site. I use the site to transfer funds to my main Disney gift card, and then remove all cards from the site.I keep disneygiftcard.com bookmarked on my phone so that I can quickly check the balances on all of my cards. Agreed, I've read posts here about that happening and fairly large amounts being stolen and there was really little Disney could do. Sad.I used to do that but since several people had their disneygiftcard.com accounts hacked and lost all the funds, I stopped leaving cards on the site.
