Using FP for Frozen versus Test Track and Soarin...

So I am very familiar with going on and planning Disney vacations for my large extended family of ten. This time we are going in June and we decided to use our top tier fast pass at Epcon on Frozen. My concern now is about getting to ride Test Track and Soarin. So...people who have used this strategy see if this sounds doable...
Get to Epcot for rope drop and high tale it to Test Track. After Test Track dart to Soarin. After that we will have a smooth rest of the day. I really can't stand that all three of those rides are in the top tier! What do you think?

If it were me, I'd do Soarin' then TT because the wait time for Soarin' seems to increase faster. TT also offers the single rider line which can reduce wait times for it.

What you've planned is the advice I've gotten and read on this board - we are WDW pros but this will be our first trip with Frozen as well. I've read that this way is the best because 1) Test Track fills up more quickly than Soarin', now that Soarin has the 3rd theater, and 2) if Frozen is not working during the time of your FP, you can come back and try using it again later, whereas if you had wasted all that time in Standby and then found out it isn't working, you're out of luck.

Funny, we said the exact opposite! :) OP, if you are willing to do Test Track single rider, then I agree with what this poster said.

My family doesn't want to do that so I'm thinking we'll do TT first.

We like to ride together as a family so we don't do single rider. I also learned about the addition of the new theater in Soarin so it will load a little faster now. I think I'll stick with this plan and fingers crossed it works!

We had a 10 minute wait on standby for Soarin' after it re opened last year. The extra theater really makes a difference. I would definitely go the route you posted.

I can understand that.

In December, the new theater was open but not in use a couple of the times that we rode Soarin'. So, it really did not have an impact on the wait times that we saw (75-90 minutes on average).

This topic comes up quite a bit. I agree completely with Cinderella94. Unless you really have a desire to do single rider, definitely do TT first, then Soarin'. The extra theater has helped a ton.

When we went in March for spring break, there was availability for Soarin' as a 4th fastpass for later in the day. So that's an option.

Get a Frozen FP for as early in the morning as possible. I think they start FP at 11am. Anyway, we were there just last week and I was routinely able to get 4th FP selections for both Soarin' and Test Track. Maybe not for a group of 10 but I had no probably getting it for 2-4 people and staggering the FP times to overlap. Paired with a couple rider swaps we had, our kids rode Test Track 4-5 times and Soarin' 3x over the course of a 2 days. We also gave one rider swap away on our last day bc Test Track had gone down and we didn't have enough time to use it. We also rode Frozen twice, once with a FP and once during late EMH. We walked in right at 10:50 and had maybe a 15 min wait.

This is a really good idea IMO. Most of the time, we go for rope drop and ride the big rides early then get FP for the evenings when crowds are higher. We'll usually go to any park we want in the AM and ride the several big rides then some of the mid tier rides, go back to the hotel for a nap, then go to wherever our FP's are in the evening.
