I'd like to use some continental FF miles for hotels.

Has anyone done this? Is it difficult?

It sounds like no discounts can be applied, and you can't cancel without losing the miles..... anyone know if thats really true, or have you been able to recoup your miles IF you had to change or cancel the hotel ressie?

Any tips or ideas how to best use them? Thanks!

I have used Delta miles before. No, you can not get any miles back if you change cancel. They are really strict. I have gotten good deals in the past, BUT in the last year, they have gone so high with miles for hotels it is a waste....Personally I no longer even fly or use Delta....

We have alot of american ff miles. Dh travels ALOT. We are cashing them in for 3 free nights at the Grand Floridian in May and then 3 free nights at the Beach Club.

Its really strict too. You cant get any discounts unless disney is offering them to the public, no pins etc. They let you buy tripo insurance if you want, but I think you lose the miles too if you cancel.

I sign my dh up for everything to get miles, contests (we won something from southwest), tie it into the hotel and rent a car etc.

If you have a credit card to tie into miles too that helps.

Flyertalk website has alot of good information.

Thanks for the replies. It does sound very strict from what I've read on their site.

I've been to the Flyertalk site but find it overwhelming. I can never find what I'm looking for :confused3

Anyone else know anything about Continental miles for hotels?
