Using Fastpass+ and baby swap card

We were there last month and did what is being asked about...got FP+ for different rides. For instance, we got one Star Tours and one Tower of Terror. The person who's FP+ it was went up, showed our baby, got a paper Rider Swap for the other person, scanned the band, and rode. Then, at any point in the day, the other person could use the paper Rider Swap to go through the FP line. No Magic Band scanning for that rider. We had no problems with this and did it several times. I still think leaving an 8yo is ridiculous and unsafe and should be handled the same way the deal with child rider switch passes. Before FP+ it was never a big deal. FP lines have gotten longer and I fear the second rider will be getting shut out. I hope the CM's are flexible in this situation.

I don't know why you are angry at me. I just reported what I saw and what others have reported. Disney has determined ages that kids are allowed to stand in line and ride alone and enter the park alone. If you have a problem with the ages Disney has determined to be safe 1) take it up with them or 2) don't allow your child to ride or enter alone.
Child swap is something not attached to an age of a child but the size of a child.

We made our FP+ reservations before they started tiering, but I don't think you'd have an issue. For instance, having one person do FP+ for Soarin' and the other person FP+ Test Track. I don't see why it would be an issue, but I haven't tried to go in and reserve that. If it lets you, I'd think you'd be fine.

When you return with a Rider Swap pass, they don't check anything whatsoever, so they don't know you've been on the ride already with a FP+. Once, I didn't want to use my Rider Swap and gave it to my DH and he used it just fine, even though he'd been on the same ride just a bit earlier with FP+. A really astute CM may recognize you, but I doubt they'd stop you from riding.

Yes...you don't need a fastpass to get a baby swap. However you can use a fastpass, but it has nothing to do with the baby swap. So 1 person can fastpass one "A" tiered ride with their magicband while the other person would schedule a different "A" fastpass with their magicband, and then use the baby swap for both rides, therefore allowing them to essentially ride both "A" tiered rides going through the fastpass line, although only scanning their band once (for whichever ride they go first on because they have a scheduled fastpass on their magicband).

WOW!!! are you talking from experience?? It took me 3 weeks to have someone answer this way.. (I've been hearing this same answer for about 2 days now tho)... Every time I would call the Disney info line, the cm's would give me a totally different answer and some didn't even know what the baby swap pass was!! (so they say)!!!

We have gotten a fp one person and used the baby swap and then had the adult get a fp for an additional ride and do the baby swap with no problem. In essence, it can double your fast passes on the bigger rides you want to do but can't do with a young child. I see this as almost a loophole that some people have found and wonder if eventually they will put a stop to this practice in some way by using the magic bands. I don't know if it is possible, but just a thought.....

I have 4 yr old triplets so there is 3 of them and 2 of us doing the rides. Can I or my wife take 1 kid at time on the ride depending on the ride and do we use fastpass+ for us or for all the kids

If the children are tall enough for the ride you cannot use rider swap.

Rider swap is to keep families from having to wait in line twice. If they already waited one time they shouldn't be penalized and made to wait again regardless of the reason, whether a child is too small or too scared.

Anyway, I really don't care what you do. However, I have asked for a rider swap at tot because my nephew did not want to ride. We were denied because he was tall enough for the ride. your story isn't my dilemma. my kids ARE to little.. my issue was getting a child swap pass when only one parent has a fastpass allowing the other parent to make a different fastpass selection
