I'm just curious if anyone else has done this? http://blog.touringplans.com/2014/06/10/wishes-worth-fastpass/

I actually disagree with that writer. The parade FP+ spot is too close to the castle for Wishes, so close that the castle ends up blocking a good chunk of the fireworks. If you use a FP+ for the parade! simply move farther back toward Main Street for the fireworks.

I completely agree. We did this back at the end of May and the castle show view was great, but a lot of the fireworks seemed behind, not above, the castle. I will try to post a picture tonight if I remember how, been a while since I posted a photo.
We were just there last week and had a FP+ for the 9:00 parade that got cancelled. We just stayed for the castle show which was a great view but the fireworks followed pretty quickly. As crowded as it was, I'm not sure we could have gotten to a different spot to view the fireworks. The view of the fireworks from there was pretty bad. Most of them were hidden by the castle.
What if I FP+ Wishes? Can I get to the spot for FP holders early enough to watch the MSEP from it?

I did this in late May. it obstructed a lot of the fireworks, but it was nice having a spot already. They remove the ropes after the parade and more people fill in, but you do not have to move. Not the ideal view for the full effect but it gets the job done. The castle does block a very good bulk of the fireworks, so be aware of that. Here are some pictures for an idea:

Thank you so much! These are exactly the type of pictures I have been combing the internet for for the last few weeks. That view of the fireworks would make me happy and I really just want to be "up front" for the castle show. I think we'll stay put in our MSEP FP+ spot. If it winds up being a disappointment, we'll know better for next time.![]()
Is FP+ a requirement for the MSEP, or can you obtain one with your 4th or 5th FP day of?
I was coming back to post almost this exact same thing. I love Wishes and have seen it a handful of times. It was worth it for the parade and castle show view. The fireworks view want my favorite, but it was acceptable. We were on the right side up against the fence so we had somewhere to lean while standing. Plus, some of the pictures with the big fireworks behind the castle look awesome. No problem, you are welcome! As long as you have actually seen wishes before, you'll probably be fine with it. I just wouldn't advise it for someone trying to get their first wishes experience. You can see the larger fireworks but the smaller ones get pretty hidden. As long as I can hear the soundtrack and see the castle though I am a happy camper, if you are like that you'll probably be fine.
