Has anyone renewed their wedding vows at DisneyWorld and used their DVC for invited guests?

Not yet, but that is the plan for us in three years!

Can't decide between OKW, for the larger space, or BWV, for the activity on the Boardwalk, or SSR, for the close proximity to DD........................well, guess I do have some time to decide!

Hope someone else can help you out!
Did you post on the weddings forum?

ditto! three years will make the big 2-5 for us.

We are using our DVC points this June so the whole family can come to our vow renewal(25 years!). We are doing a combination of studios, a 2 bedroom and a grand villa at OKW.

Thanks. Chim Chiminy, how do i get to the wedding board? And also to Deesknee in 3 years will be "25" for us too! October 23 is our Anniversary. I think a fun thing to do is since our anniversary is so close to Halloween to have it in the Haunted Mansion, but I am sure that would run into big bucks!

Hi, we will be using our DVC points in September for our Vow Renewal (20 years!) We are doing an "Intimate Add-On” This is for folks who already have their Disney accommodations. The cost is $2300.00 for the ceremony only (which includes, Limo, Flowers, officiant, cake, Champaign, violin and the basic photography package) the reception and other activities are extra. You are right about the Haunted Mansion costing big bucks, as that falls under the "Custom" Feature, I believe they run about $10,000.00 (yikes, that's almost 120 DVC add-on points) We will be doing the Renewal at Sunset Point at the Poly (Jimmy Buffet theme) with 10 people for the ceremony. I plan on having the reception at Chef's De France, followed by a private Illuminations Dessert Party in the UK at Epcot. We will end our day at Jelly Rolls with a night cap (well maybe more than one :cool1: ) FYI, I also checked into the Vow Renewals at the Swan and the cost was $2200.00 and didn't include all that Disney did. I am having such a great time planning this as it will be totally casual, our wedding was huge and very formal, so this is actually fun. Good luck and congrats!

We want to do something for our 40 year anniversary in '08. These are some great ideas.

treehugger, that sounds amazing! Way better than our wedding almost 10 years ago!

We'll be there this May for our 25th! I wanted to do a vow renewal, but the exchange rate my wife charges for DVC points is too high.... ;)
