Using Disney transportation when staying offsite.

Is it OK to use the Disney transport system whilst staying offsite?
We're staying very close to DTD Marketplace and thought this would be an easy way to get around.
Can anyone point me in the direction of the Disney transport routing lists?

Using the buses at DTD won't be an easy way to get around. They only go to the resorts, not the theme parks. Too many people were parking their cars at DTD to get around paying for parking at the theme parks, so Disney stopped running buses from DTD to the parks.

OP is staying at one of the DTD hotels. They offer bus service to the parks, I'm not sure if it's every 20 or every 30 minutes. Easier then walking to DTD, waiting a long time for a bus, taking a bus to a resort then walking or taking some other form of transportation to a theme park. Might make some sense if you're having a meal in a WDW resort.

I see you are staying at Buena Vista Palace which is the closest Downtown resort to the DTD MP bus stop. It is also the closest to the Congress Park bus Stop at SSR. You could probably walk over their to catch a bus to the parks but I don't know if it would be any quicker.

The only advantage in going to SSR is if you are going to MK. Because the DTD hotel bus leaves you off at TTC while the WDW buses take you right to the entrance of MK.

How many of the stores or restaurants are open at 7a? DTD bus service is designed to get DTD customers back to a resort. I suspect bus service from DTD to the resorts will be unavailable, or completely unreliable, that early in the morning.

Resort buses start running around 6:30 am; the DTD buses don't start running until 9:00 am - now that is the hub buses.

I found a website that says the buses from the DTD resort hotels start an hour before each park opening, every 30 minutes, until 1-1/2 hours after each park closes.
