When you use WDW GCs, does it show the remaining balance for the card on the receipt?

Yes, the balance is near the bottom of the receipt.

If you use the Disney gift card app, you'll also see the real-time balance of each listed gift card.

I use GC's all the time at the parks and almost always the CM will circle the remaining balance on the receipt and tell me verbally what I have left.

Speaking of which...is there anyway to link a gift card to your MDX account or your resort account and then scan your magicband to use it, or do you have to present the card each time?

As mentioned by another reply the CM's are very good at letting you know the remaining balance (they usually do it without asking). I always fold the most recent receipt around the gift card and then fasten with a rubber band so I know how much is on that card. Much easier to keep track.

You can apply gift cards against your room charges at your resort's Front Desk up until the night before your check-out day. That way you don't have to worry about gift cards and their balances while you are in the parks.
