Has anyone ever used Disney gift card to pay for annual passes? We are thinking of paying for our with the Disney Gift cards but before we order them I wanted to see if anyone has actually ever purchased theme park tickets with them & didn't have any problems.

We use gift cards, rewards dollars, etc.....I have handed over 3 cards to use and then paid the rest with CC. No problems.

We own two homes--one in NY and one in FL. We have FL driver's licenses, so we get the FL resident discount on tickets. However, our CC's are billed to our NY address, so we cannot use those to purchase our park tickets. I always buy a couple of gift cards with our CC and then use the gift cards to pay for our park passes.

What I personally plan on doing is Using DISNEY gift card I started putting money on and placing rest of gift cards on my room key since I was under impression that they could only take 1 GC/per transaction and I can't just use room key d/t amount of ticket being higher than my room key spending limit.

You can use as many GCs as you want for a transaction. We've had a few dollars left on different cards over the years and used those up before we "break in" a new one.

We did this for our upgrade to APs last time at guest services. Not a problem.

We have the same but I still used our NC address CC to pay the rest!

BTW: I have been told FL is cracking down on this and that you have to pick ONE residence now and can't have dual. I still have both but not sure once my FL DL expires if it will be renewed.

I bought $200 in Disney GC the other day at Albertsons just so I can use them to buy our AP (well the one day ticket min. and then pay monthly) Albertson's has as deal (thru 12-12) that for every $100 in GC you buy (some exceptions like VISA/AMEX/Albertson's GC) you get a $20 grocery coupon good thru 12/24/10. I bought $100 in assorted other cards so I know have $60 in free groceries. They also have the same deal at Jewels.

Gift Cards are like money so yes they can be added (stacked) for one purchase.

I used a combo of the GAD pass and gift cards to buy my AP. I believe that there is a limit of 3 types of payments that you can use on one transaction. I know that I could only use my GAD ticket, 1 gift card (since it wasn't enough for the balance) and then the balance on my debit card. I used my other 2 gift cards to buy my TIW card.

Really?

I did use my GAD, my Disney rewards and then my CC for the rest.

I didn't know you could only use 3 though.

I was told the same thing at GS in MK. They are limited to 3 forms of payment. I used a gift card, a one day ticket and my debit card.

Thanks I'll just go with my plan GC #1 and Room Key so only 2 forms of payment.

There is a limit per Cheshire Figment - I believe it is 3 forms of payment max that can be taken for one transaction.

Just spoke with a cast member this morning about using gift cards to pay for APs and was told only two forms of payment (2 gift cards would be two forms of payment) per transaction. However, I was told I could call in as many times as I want and even split each ticket into a separate transaction.

resurrecting an old thread:

are disney gift cards still allowed as a form of payment on a resident annual pass? I believe a cc and the gift card will be used for the down payment and the monthly payments will be on the same cc. So technically using 2 forms of payment overall.

thank you

If purchasing over the phone, you can only use 2 forms of payment per ticket (1 gift card = 1 form of payment). However, if you purchase at a ticket window, you can use as many gift cards as you like. I believe the ticket window will limit you to 3 forms of payment; however, gift cards only count as 1 form of payment regardless of how many you use. I've done this many, many times for both AP and regular tickets:)
