Using Disney Gift cards- can I do this?

Yes, you can do both. I don't know if there may be a few restaurants at Disney Springs that won't accept gift cards, but most do. I think I even used them at both the Pandora and Coca Cola stores in DS.

I did read a post somewhere the other day that due to weather issues at that time some of the F&W kiosks were taking cash only. I usually always carry a $20 with me just in case their magic band readers or card machines aren't working.

Oh! Great tip! I wouldn't have thought of having a little cash as I was planning on just charging to the magic band.

I actually put together a list in the magicband thread (link below). you'll need a credit card for Laundry. Cash for tips (housekeeping, vip tours), street vendors (balloons, things that flash lights), penny/quarter machines, shooting gallery, arcades and I'm sure there is other little things here and there but the tips, laundry, street vendors is the big ones...
